“Food is everything we are.” — Anthony Bourdain

Some of us never got into food just to make a living. We got into it because of how it made people feel.

The memories. The culture. The conversations around the table. The love that went into a meal before anyone even took a bite.

Somewhere along the way, the industry started forgetting that part.

I haven’t.

Belly Bistro has always been about more than what’s on the plate. And we’re just getting started. 👑💗

Good food. Real stories. Made with love.

Let me reintroduce you to Belly Bistro. 🖤

Named in honour of my Aunt Belly, who owned a sandwich shop and a catering business. We dreamed of rebranding and building on what she started, together. She passed before we could make it happen, but that dream stayed with me.

This next chapter brings together my Eritrean roots, my experience as a chef and my love of bold flavours.

Here’s what’s coming:
🥪 Loaded focaccia sandwiches
🧀 Charcuterie available for takeout
🌶️ House-made sauces
🍯 House-made jams
🍗 Our signature stuffed wings
✨ Grazing tables, catering and private dining
📍 GTA pop-ups

To everyone who’s supported Belly Bistro from the beginning—thank you. If you’re new here, I’m Chef Daniel Tesfay. Welcome to the table.

Persistence is Key 🔑 💪🏾

Going back to when @blkmenstyle held their second Mental Health Fitness event; warm special s/o to @unity.to for allowing us to utilize their Fitness vicinity for this occasion.

Lemme tell you, being around the brothers who are passionate about fitness, even or just starting off their fitness journey is of high quality and immensely stimulating. From demonstrating support and motivating one another, to push ourselves to our limits, without giving up illustrates real character.

Especially to my brother @daniel__tesfay who I had the liberty of being his fitness partner for the event. He demonstrated: strength, resilience , determination and unwavering to how much efforts he put into the workouts. Couldn’t be more proud brother 💪🏾✨

BLK Men’s Style presents Black Men Connect- WeLiftTogether Vol. 2.

We hosted our second men’s physical and mental health event on Sunday May 19th. A powerful event dedicated to the well-being of Black men. From mastering proper form to embracing overall health, participants engaged in invigorating workouts and connected with like-minded brothers. It was a transformative experience beyond the weights, fostering a community that grows stronger one lift at a time.
