Agradecemos a les estudiantes Alondra Jiménez Rivera, Gabriela Rivera Rodríguez, Daniela N. Daniela Nicole Arocho Gonzalez is a figurative painter born and raised in San Sebastián, Puerto Rico, and lives in South Florida. She began painting imagery highlighting Puerto Rico’s beauty by showcasing its fauna, flora, and landscapes from an early age. As her art has progressed, she has found interest in self-portraits where she expresses her identity as a fat Latina woman. Making self-portraits has been a journey of self-discovery and acceptance of her body.
