Hoje conhecemos Matteo, americano, e Lupita, uma brasileira carioca que chegou aos Estados Unidos há apenas um mês. Eles são recém-casados e já estão vivendo uma aventura inesquecível pelas estradas americanas! ❤️

O casal saiu de Chicago em uma van Chevy 1995, levando a Harley-Davidson. Quando a van começou a perder força, eles deixaram o veículo em South Dakota e decidiram continuar a viagem sobre duas rodas! 🏍️

Eles já passaram por South Dakota, Colorado e agora chegaram a Utah. A aventura ainda continua por Las Vegas, Califórnia, Route 66 e Salt Lake City.

Matteo praticamente construiu a vida dele ao redor da motocicleta e agora está compartilhando essa paixão com Lupita. As paisagens e imagens que eles registram pelo caminho são simplesmente incríveis!

🇺🇸 A group of longtime friends came to St. George for a few days of golf and stopped by Araujo Brazilian Kitchen for some Brazilian food.

I introduced them as “professional golf players”… and they immediately started laughing. 😂⛳

Then I asked:

“Who’s the best golfer here?”

They pointed straight to one of the guys and said he could beat everyone. 😂

Such a fun, friendly and respectful group. It was great having you guys here. Thanks for stopping by Araujo! 🇧🇷❤️

🇧🇷 Um grupo de amigos de muitos anos veio passar alguns dias em St. George jogando golfe e depois parou no Araujo Brazilian Kitchen para comer comida brasileira.

Eu comecei apresentando eles como “jogadores profissionais de golfe”… e todo mundo começou a rir. 😂⛳

Depois eu perguntei:

“Quem é o melhor jogador daqui?”

Eles apontaram na hora para um deles e disseram que ele ganharia de todo mundo. 😂

Um grupo super simpático, educado e divertido. Foi muito bom receber vocês aqui no Araujo! 🇧🇷❤️

Yesterday at Araujo Brazilian Kitchen, I was talking with a wonderful family when I asked Daniel, only 13 years old, if he liked to sing.

He said yes.

So I asked, “Would you sing a little song for us?” 🎤

At first he got a little shy… then his mom encouraged him:

“Sing!”

Daniel stood up.

And then… the restaurant stopped.

The moment he started singing, I got goosebumps all over my body. 😳❤️

His voice was incredible.

One of my favorite parts of the video is watching his little brother looking at him with so much pride while everyone around them stops to listen. 🥹

And there was an even crazier connection: Daniel’s dad served his mission in Brazil Manaus Mission with my brother years ago. 🇧🇷

But yesterday, Daniel was the star.

13 years old. No stage. No preparation. Just an incredible voice and a moment none of us were expecting. 🎶❤️

Daniel, keep singing. You have a beautiful gift.

This is why I always say Araujo Brazilian Kitchen is about much more than food.

It’s about people, stories and moments we’ll never forget. ❤️🇧🇷

They got married just four days ago… and today they walked into Araujo Brazilian Kitchen in St. George, Utah with my neighbors Michael and his wife. ❤️🇧🇷

Of course, I had to ask:

“How did you two meet?” 😂

And their story is pretty amazing.

He’s from Mexico 🇲🇽 and was serving a mission in Chile 🇨🇱 when his uncle, who lives in Utah, connected him with some family members who spoke Spanish.

That’s how he first met this young woman from Virginia 🇺🇸.

They kept talking after the mission. He eventually moved to Utah, she came to visit, he picked her up at the airport… and after about four months of dating, they got married! 💍❤️

Then I had to ask him:

“Did you ever imagine you would marry an American?” 😂

I definitely put him on the spot! 🤣 Everyone started laughing.

And there’s another beautiful part of this story…

My neighbor Michael served a mission in Mexico when he was 19, and now he and his wife are getting close to celebrating 50 YEARS OF MARRIAGE. ❤️

So at one table we had a couple beginning their first week of marriage… sitting beside a couple approaching five decades together.

Almost 50 years of marriage meeting 4 days of marriage. ❤️

And their first visit together included some authentic Brazilian food in Southern Utah at Araujo Brazilian Kitchen. 🇧🇷

Congratulations to this beautiful newlywed couple! May this be only the beginning of an incredible life together. 🙏❤️

She’s 15, American, has never been to Brazil, and learned Portuguese through a Dual Language Immersion program at school. 🇺🇸🇧🇷

But what made this moment even more special was Grandma. ❤️

She was so proud, and genuinely surprised when she realized how well her granddaughter could carry on a conversation in Portuguese.

Her 15-year-old American granddaughter speaks Portuguese#and she speaks it VERY well. 🇺🇸🇧🇷

Her parents don’t speak Portuguese, but she and her siblings are learning through a Portuguese Dual Language Immersion program at school.

We ended up having almost our entire conversation in Portuguese.

But what made this moment so special was watching Grandma. ❤️

She was smiling, listening, and clearly so proud of her granddaughter. Every once in a while she would even ask what we were talking about. 😂❤️

She told me she would love to visit Brazil someday — especially São Paulo.

And this was already her second visit to Araujo Brazilian Kitchen!

The Portuguese impressed me… but Grandma’s pride made this moment unforgettable. ❤️🇧🇷🇺🇸

One of the things we love most at Araujo Brazilian Kitchen is meeting people with a special connection to Brazil. 🇧🇷❤️

This father and daughter are both American — but both speak Portuguese incredibly well!

Dad lived in Brazil many years ago while serving a mission in Ribeirão Preto. And even after all these years, his Portuguese is still amazing! 👏🇧🇷

His daughter also lived in Brazil while serving a mission in São Paulo, and she speaks Portuguese beautifully too.

It was such a pleasure having their family at Araujo Brazilian Kitchen and hearing them speak Portuguese with us. ❤️

There’s something special about seeing people who lived in Brazil years ago still carrying the language, the memories and the love for the country with them. 🇧🇷🇺🇸

My daughter Hannah and I experienced Tuacahn and Les Misérables for the very first time, and we absolutely loved every minute of it.

Minha filha Hannah e eu vivemos nossa primeira experiência no Tuacahn e assistindo Les Misérables, e simplesmente amamos cada minuto.

There’s something incredibly special about watching a story this powerful — about redemption, love, sacrifice, justice and hope — surrounded by the breathtaking red cliffs of Southern Utah.

Existe algo muito especial em assistir a uma história tão poderosa — sobre redenção, amor, sacrifício, justiça e esperança — cercado pelas incríveis montanhas vermelhas do sul de Utah.

Her dad served a mission in Belém, and Haley has even visited Brazil before — but she’s just starting to learn Portuguese.

Meet Jared and Stefanie. ❤️

Jared is Brazilian, a personal trainer, coach and bodybuilder. He came to the U.S. to improve his English, and only about four months later, he met Stefanie. 🇺🇸❤️

And here’s the amazing part: Stefanie is American, served a mission in Brazil and speaks Portuguese fluently! 🇧🇷

They fell in love, got married and today have three children, including boy-and-girl twins. ❤️

They’ve been living in St. George for about five years, and we had such a fun conversation with them at Araujo Brazilian Kitchen.
