Behind the Scenes of my cover shoot with Becky G

I’ve been wanting to document more of the moments on set that no one gets to see. There’s a lot of prep and collaboration that
happens to be able to execute a concept and a lighting plan. I just wanted to show a glimpse of the build on this one.
I was excited that I got to shoot both film and digital for this. I normally don’t have the shooting time but Becky said she loves film too and gave us a lil extra time with each look to make sure we got it. 👌🏽

Big thank you to the talented up and coming @daliiyoung for shooting and editing this for me. I have no doubt you have big things coming in ur future 🙌🏽

Happy Letty Lynton Day! 🤍

It’s a landmark day for cinephiles, fashion historians, and Joan Crawford fans—who finally get to watch LETTY LYNTON (1932). The film has been prohibited from commercial distribution since 1936, and today marks its official DVD/Blu-ray release as part of the @warnerarchive collection. 🎬🎞️

I was honored to attend the premiere of the new restoration last month at the TCM Film Festival—the first public screening of Letty Lynton in almost a century! It is often cited as the film that changed fashion history, and established Hollywood as a leading fashion influence. The voluminous, white ruffled organdy gown that MGM’s head costume designer Adrian created for Joan Crawford became a sensation, with department stores like Macy’s reportedly selling over 50,000 copies of the dress.

I am the proud owner of a vintage 1930s dress that was clearly inspired by Letty Lynton, and it was one of the absolute coolest moments of my life to be able to wear it to the premiere at the historic Egyptian Theater. Many thanks to @tcm for making it all happen!

The iconic white dress is just one of many fabulous looks that Joan wears throughout the film. I hope to host a screening in the near future, so perhaps you can join me and see for yourself! ✨

Adrian is known for his gowns and iconic costumes from The Wizard of Oz. I never imagined I would hold one of his pieces, let alone own one. Thank you to Richard Adkins, Fabian Fioto, Raissa Bretaña, Daniel Luna, Angie Schneider, Carla Valderrama, Kevin Jones, Scavengers Paradise, FIDM, and everyone else who has been helping me in this effort to identify this piece of film history 🎞️
