Desde el primer día, en Fundación Nadine hemos querido estar ahí: apoyando el talento emergente en ferias como UVNT, JustMAD, SUMMA y, hoy, CAN Contemporary Art Now. A través de premios de adquisición, producción y residencias… y también de ese apoyo silencioso que casi nunca sale en la foto, pero que muchas veces marca la diferencia.
Este año celebramos una nueva adquisición en CAN y seguimos creyendo en lo mismo: que el arte no solo se contempla, también transforma. Porque apoyar el arte es apostar por las personas que lo hacen posible.

“In a world that constantly updates itself, I want to create images that can hold the gaze just a little longer.”

Through richly layered, realist paintings, @danielfleur explores themes of beauty, desire, materialism, and social status, transforming everyday subjects into reflections on the complexities of modern life with subtle humor and psychological depth.

In his new exhibition: ‘All My Jewelry’, Fleur focuses on the symbolism of adornment, depicting jeweled objects in striking contrast to the softness of the body. Referencing figures such as Princess Diana, Pharrell Williams, and Kim Kardashian, the works examine the shifting meanings of luxury and desire, personal identity, cultural memory, and collective aspiration.

Fleur captures fleeting moments of pleasure, often sparked through acts of acquisition, as central points of tension: the initial rush of desire gradually gives way to familiarity, and objects once imbued with meaning recede into the ordinary. Yet these works resist a singular reading as mere symbols of status or consumption. Instead, they position style as a form of visual dialogue, where adornment operates across multiple registers—intimate and performative, personal and collective.
