The last few weeks have been busy & beautiful. Got to see my incredible best friend marry a wonderful man, did an amazing workshop with very talented/fun/kind people, sang in a few concerts, am now tired but blessed! Hooray for joy!

Heard we were posting about 2016 & WHEW, what a fantastic year! I toured the country & Japan with Kinky Boots, went to Hawaii with 3 fabulous boys, did a road trip with my childhood besties, performed at the Kennedy Center for the 1st time before that was complicated, started what turned out to be an incredible contract in vegas…wow. I had so much freaking fun.

I’m rarely speechless or surprised… but this weekend, I truly was. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate my 40th birthday and made it so incredibly special. I felt so loved and grateful. And the biggest thank you to my amazing husband for pulling off the most perfect surprise — every detail, every person, every moment meant the world to me. I’ll never forget it.

Also, thank you to @chef_edgarcr & @caviarrusse for the beautiful menu, endless champagne and caviar, gorgeous decorations and the perfect spot to celebrate. Couldn’t have asked for a better night 🍾

Birthday month

2024 was good. I saw lots of theatre, went to therapy, & had some very fun trips. Being married to Brenton is my favorite thing ever & my dog is a very cute little jerk. I am thankful for my kick-ass friends, my good job, and anyone who has hired or will ever hire me to sing/act on a stage or screen! I hope you all know how special & resilient you are. If 2025 is scaring you, it might help to make being kind to others your number one thing (except for those occasions when sass is a strong must). Love you, mean it.
