POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It's a surreal honor to begin shoving Crowded Out down the worlds throat via Canal+, now streaming internationally in French and African territories!

If you'd told teenage me that I'd manage to get a short film licensed by the streaming arm of the studio that helped Lynch finish Mulholland Drive, among producing and distributing a million other household staples (Terminator 2, anyone?) I'd probably be like "Why are you telling me what happens in the future? Won't this create some kind of paradox or ripple effect that will destroy the present day from which you came?". But here we are. Time travel is STILL confusing!

Assuming this timeline remains intact, keep your eyes peeled for more news regarding a wider-wide release in the not too distant future!

As I take a Pesach pause to cook for 16 on Wednesday and try to make any absenteeism up to Rabbi Aaron on Thursday here is my dream cast for the animation. Filming will start in April and am not so secretly inspired by all these wonderful people. I shall live by the motto “don’t be shit” and get them involved when it’s ready for them to see.

Though not officially under Stellar City Productions, "Runaway Train" was the direct precursor to the founding of the company. An entry to the 2024 NY 48 Hour Film Project, the film started as a discussion between fellow actors at the same performing arts academy and was created under the hat-drawn genres of "Coming of Age" and "Film Noir."

More importantly, however, "Runaway Train" was the first major project with a large-sized team of ~20 people that Lawrence Hwang (@larryhachiya) produced and learned substantially from, even and especially with all the drama, disagreements, and difficulties.

The film was shot over the weekend of September 13th - 15th, 2024, and won the award "Best Use of the Prop" while being nominated for "Best Poster" and "Best Trailer."

Just a few fun pics from our play, Save the Penguins, that closed on Sunday! An absurd comedy about nonprofit fundraising and queerness. I got to play five different ladies--Incredibly satisfying to be so challenged!! Congratulations to Raechel Segal, Writer; Laura Archer, Director and my fabulous cast mates: Liam Donovan, Jensen Tavares, Matthew Blackwood, Daniel Hirsch, Daniel Martinez, Gabi Nail & David Silberger. What an outrageous, entertaining show this was🐧🐧🐧

One last post for Save the Penguins! We had a wonderful photographer capture our dress rehearsal and I wanted to share some of the incredible shots that we received. I am beyond thankful that I was apart of this production. Being able to bring a new play to life is an absolute honor.

I am saddened that it is over, but elated that I was a part of it.
