I never post carousels but I was looking through my camera roll and immediately my heart filled with gratitude. It’s easy to focus on the negatives, the trials and tribulations the universe throws at us. Because life can be so difficult. I’ve been going through a stint of sadness, but when I look at these photos and videos I’m reminded of how beautiful and fun life can be (cliche I know, I’m filled with cliches).

Anyway, thank you to the people close to me. Thank you for making me feel safe, for continuously putting a smile on my face, for reminding me that life isn’t that serious. It’s short and we need to take the time appreciate it for all that it is. I love you all.

Friendship shows up in the details. Who calls when life gets messy, who celebrates your wins without keeping score, who reminds you who you are when you’ve forgotten.

The older I get, the more I value presence over perfection.

I’ve been lucky to have people stand beside me through growth, challenge, celebration, and change. They’ve shown me I don’t have to carry things alone.

Life is lighter when we carry one another. Dreams grow bigger when they’re encouraged. Healing comes easier when it’s witnessed. Joy multiplies when it’s shared.

To everyone who’s been part of my life these past years, thank you for your friendship, your kindness, and your willingness to simply be there. I hope I’ve given you the same.

Our greatest wealth isn’t what we’ve accumulated. It’s the people who’ve walked beside us.

I don’t think my therapist knew the consequences of becoming emotionally intelligent and trying to date in the gay community. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being intentional about dating or intentional about being single and exploring men. What’s important and what is much needed in our community is more genuine communication. It’s OK to find each other attractive day one and it is equally important to tell each other what you want out of this whether it’s something more or something transactional. ☮️✌🏾
