This week on SNR we're putting a spotlight on Slow Pull @slow._.pull an artist that seamlessly blends folk and blues acoustic songwriting with solemn, yet alluring, bedroom emo and electronic elements. Slow Pull is an incredible shaper of atmosphere and crafts very personal, intimate soundscapes that feel like a cassette tape made just for you. Alongside Slow Pull, we're forcefully dragging this ugly 100° October into the cold with a playlist full of chill and atmospheric local tunes.

Airing on @kutzfm every week Thursday at 5PM and Fridays at 12PM!

95.7FM Downtown Sacramento and 97.3FM El Dorado Hills

Always streaming online at KUTZFM.ORG

Please consider donating to KUTZ to keep us on the air! We only need $1200/month, so even a $5 donation goes a long way!

Pregnant is an American musical project founded by Daniel Trudeau in Placerville, California in 2004. Their sound has been described as "mutant pop sound collages". They have released music on Porter Records and Mush Records. {Wikipedia}

~I saw Pregnant for the first time at Kilowatt when someone on the street stopped me in my tracks and said "you ever seen Pregnant? You need to see this band". I've been so grateful ever since. After digging up some show tapes I was really blown away and have gotten to see them play live a handful of times in the Bay since. It's a fitting premier show for LOCAL IDIOT.

Kilroy Rogers is wall of sound country music coming from Alameda and the greater East Bay. Support your local educator by listening to this band.

~Kilroy came to me by way of a Mercury Cafe and they are one of the few bands on the wall of sound/country side of things that I actually really enjoy.

The only troll I’ve ever possessed is my son. Here’s him from memory when he was two or 3 with teething necklace and zero apprehension - 100 percent curiosity.
