I had sooooo much fun playing Samantha Parkington in American Girl Doll The Musical, I am so sad this show has come to an end I’m going to miss this show and all the memories we made. I met so many new people and made so many new friends and had the time of my life preforming with all my friends on stage, I am going to miss it tons and I can’t wait to work with these people again!💕🧸

American Girl Jr. Pilot Production - Inspiration Stage

American Girl dolls have always been a part of my life. From the 2011 Girl of the Year being the first thing my mom bought for me, then asking for a doll every year for birthdays and Hanukah to reading the books each night with my dad, these dolls have been with me as I’ve grown up. To now know that I was a part of the world premiere of this show in the role of one of my favorite dolls “Julie” is something I am truly honored to say. I had a great time performing such a beautifully written show alongside such talented peers. I cannot wait to see where this show goes from here. I have enjoyed reconnecting with my favorite past time and having my collection of dolls on stage with me in this show. Thank you to all that helped me prepare for this role and constantly encourage me to be my best, on and off the stage. A special thanks to my parents @robyngoldstein, acting coach, vocal coach, director @seymoresensat, and @inspirationstage for putting on the best productions. Happy 40th @americangirlbrand and cheers to many more!

🏃 On this episode of New@NAMT, hosts Jean-Paul Yovanoff and NAMT New Works Associate Skye Cone Ivey talk with writers Tyler Joseph Ellis, Jacob Ryan Smith, and Daniel Mertzlufft about THE DISASTER MARATHON OF 1904, their farcical musical comedy about the most chaotic race in Olympic history, narrated by Pheidippides himself, featured in NAMT’s 38th Annual Festival of New Musicals. The trio shares how a decade-old screenshot of a viral blog post became a three-year collaboration built on trust and “following the giggle”. Festival consultant Braylee Degenhardt joins in to share why this piece had her laughing from the very first read.

Listen now wherever you get your podcasts, and don’t miss THE DISASTER MARATHON OF 1904 at NAMT’s 38th Annual Festival of New Musicals this fall. Registration is open now at namt.org. ✨

Meet our Oliver for this year’s competition team! 🎭
Owen Pinson will be taking on the role of Oliver Twist in Oliver! JR. — and we are so excited to watch him step into this character for his very first JTF as a 5th grader!

Oliver may be small, but he has a quiet strength and sincerity that makes him the heart of this story. ❤️

We can’t wait to see Owen bring him to life on the JTF stage! ✨

September did that thing where it came in all unassumingly before quickly proceeding to paint all of the gradually shortening days with love, pastel sunlight, slow meals, and a practically greedy amount of time with too many of my favorite humans to count or list. I’m not keeping score, but if September was any indication, the writing is on the wall for a pretty damn auspicious Fall. Here’s to surprise reunions, night walks, farmers’ markets (read: all cider byproducts), Fall jazz playlists, and a generous supply of that tingly October feeling when you know it’s just starting to get good 🤍
