POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This weekend I got to see, once again, how the simplest things end up meaning the most.

Kneeling down so a kid can look you in the eye instead of up at you. A hug that says “I see you” without a single word. Sitting on the floor instead of standing over them. None of it is elaborate. None of it took planning or resources or a big moment. It’s just presence.

And that’s the part I keep relearning — this isn’t about grand gestures. It’s about the small, quiet ways we choose to treat people like they matter. That’s what actually reaches a kid’s heart. That’s what makes them feel valued.

Grateful for another Saturday of just showing up and getting low enough to really see them.

KhulaKitchen August recap 🧡

Another incredible Saturday at Love Christian Pre-School — serving up nutritious food, playing games, and just connecting with the kids who make this all worth it.

This month we also got to sit down with one of our most consistent, joy-filled volunteers, Danny.

Her story of why she keeps showing up is one we hear in different forms every month: that there’s something life-changing about giving without expecting anything back. It’s a reminder we need often — that the people pouring into these kids are just as nourished by the experience as the kids are by the food.

Grateful for Saturdays like this. Grateful for volunteers like Danny. More to come.

Khulakitchen May recap!

This past Saturday we had an amazing group of volunteers who came out to help us serve over 400 meals to children in Mamelodi. Our Kitchens are providing daily meals but, this is not only about nourishment but community.

Why do we do this on a Saturday? Because as much as this impacts the community, it also gives people the opportunity to serve others. After all, it is better to give than it is to receive.

Hearing from @resoluterobotics on how to take your learners from excelling in the classroom to excelling on the world stage through robotics.

The easiest way to start is by taking the first step. The incredible panelists from across the Eastern Cape shared on their journeys and how they took the first step into the world of robotics.
