POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Sometimes the life you planned isn’t the one that ends up fitting you best.

Danielle was sure her future included Broadway and an apartment in New York City. Then, after college, an unexpected question from a theater patron led her to a reporting job in Idaho, nearly 2,000 miles from home and nowhere near the life she had pictured.

She assumed Idaho would be temporary. But as her days began to fill with early-morning news reports and evenings performing at The Playmill Theatre, she realized she didn’t have to choose between journalism and acting. Both gave her a way to tell stories, and each made her better at the other.

How many of us have a five-year plan we’re convinced is THE plan? Bonus points if there’s already a Pinterest board devoted to it.

Idaho definitely wasn’t on Danielle’s. As it turns out, that didn’t make it the wrong place.

Comment below if you can’t wait to read Danielle’s story in our upcoming issue!

1 year at @kifi.news3 💛
Time really does fly!

A year of early mornings, breaking news, live shots, long days, new faces, unforgettable stories—and so, so much growth.

I came here to tell stories. I didn’t expect how many stories would end up changing me, too.

So grateful for the people who have trusted me with their communities, challenged me to grow, and made the 2:30 a.m. alarms worth it. ✨

Here’s to year one and whatever story comes next 🎥📰

44 years. One mystery. And now, a name. 🫆

In 1982, a man was found dead inside a Boise church with no identification and an alias on his suicide note. For decades, investigators knew him only as the “Unknown Wanderer.”

Now, investigators say they’ve identified him as Dr. Matthew Francis Betkowski, a chemist whose background and personal belongings are raising new questions — including possible connections to the 1982 Chicago Tylenol poisonings.

Investigators stress Betkowski has not been identified as a suspect in those deaths.

So after 44 years, one mystery may finally be solved… but another may just be beginning.

🎥 I’m breaking down the history and what investigators revealed today. To see the full depth of the newly released information and connections to the 1982 Chicago Tylenol Poisonings, visit this story at localnews8.com or in bio🔗
