Ok.... Let me KEEP posting!!! I told y'all, V5 was EVERYTHING!!! 🩸♥️🥰 TAKE ME BACK 💥💥💥 I'm STILL basking in the WONDERFULNESS of what transpired that weekend... THIS POST....IYKYK.... So NOT ONLY was i able to worship this weekend with MY GIRL, @iam_lauramelissa and my niece, my Pooh, @cherish_ty ......I told you, my NIECE brought a SPECIAL GUEST!!! 🥁 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 MY SIS.... My former but ALWAYS teammate.... My OG..... the "D" in "Debony" (Insider)...... Her Mother......MY DANNIIIIII!!!! @daniellecgiddins 😍😍😍 It has been OVER 3 YEARS since I've been able to SEE HER and HUG her neck! 🫂 (The first picture shows the moment I was able to.... thanks to her daughter)...... For those that know, Dani and I traveled for work OFTEN, so it was a NO BRAINER the times knowing I would see her and we'd be working and hanging out together..... However, that season was up, and because we don't live in the same state... seeing her turned into 3 years later😭..... and in those 3 years.... she would begin fighting cancer... but BAAAAAAAABY... and BUT GOD... she FOUGHT, and she WON!!!! Not only was I able to hug my Sis' neck after 3 years......I was able to hug my Sis, the SURVIVOR'S neck..... while CELEBRATING her first flight out to our church to worship with HER BLOODLINE🩸🩸🩸 I WAS BORN TO BLESS MY BLOODLINE 🩸... and I'm glad to say that THIS ONE I've been adopted into......I PRAISE GOD for!! 🙌🏾 Love you Dani!!! ❤️ Love you Tykira❤️ #V5 #TransformationChurch #Bloodline

V5 , Thank you I always come not knowing exactly what to expect but leave Gaining a lot that I didn’t know I needed ! Spiritual journey can be lonely and but God seen fit for me to have a community away from home that feels like home ! Nobody but God knew for the first 9months of this year I’ve been fighting for MY “ Bloodline “ 🩸from my grandma to my mom to my dad ! A FULL-CIRCLE MOMENT. ✨ After being away from the salon during one of the most challenging seasons of my life, AVT also experienced changes within our team. Two team members transitioned out during that difficult time, but what became clear was that alignment matters. That season helped us define who we are, what we value, and what we expect. From it, The AVT Standards were created. Now, we have welcomed two new additions who align with the vision, embrace the standards, and genuinely add to the AVT team. Sitting together at our annual gathering—fellowshipping, reflecting, planning, and recommitting ourselves to the future—felt like a true moment of restoration. AVT has been standing strong for 11 years. This season is not about proving that we can survive—it is about preparing ourselves to thrive at another level. Thriving requires more than talent. It requires leadership, coachability, intentional communication, accountability, and a commitment to continued growth. It requires taking time to come together—not only to work beside one another, but to learn one another, support one another, and become stronger together. The magnitude and potency of Dom’s essence has deeply touched so many of our hearts and souls. I am so lucky and grateful to have experienced Dominique in the 3D and in true color. On stage and off stage I saw Dom in his wholeness and he saw me in mine. The AVT Standard | No. 10 Coachability is the bridge between talent and success. Today we share our 10th and final AVT Standard, and this one speaks directly to the heart of who we are. At A Virtuous Touch, TEAM matters. I’ve always envisioned AVT as something bigger than one person, one chair, or even one generation. Developing people is part of our succession plan and part of how we prepare the next generation to take what we’ve learned and do it even better. Years ago, I taught an intensive called “Who’s Holding Your Ladder?” The lesson was simple: while you’re climbing, somebody is often holding the ladder—teaching, supporting, directing, encouraging, and sometimes pushing you toward the next level. But growth requires coachability. You have to be willing to learn, receive correction, apply what you’ve been taught, and remain humble enough to be developed. And I’ve learned something else along the way: Sometimes I’m holding your ladder. Sometimes you’re holding mine. That’s TEAM. My vision for succession extends beyond my daughter and business partner. I want to develop professionals who understand AVT’s culture, uphold its standards, and have the capacity to lead and carry this vision into the next generation—and perhaps one day, even into another AVT location. Because true legacy isn’t simply leaving something to the next generation. It’s leaving something IN them. We began this series with: “We don’t simply hire professionals. Texture vs Race remembers Dominique Ly’Var AKA @kingdomofcurls_ ✨🕊️🫶🏾 Dom was more than a part of The Texture vs Race Collaborative—he was a cornerstone of this movement. Dom gave TVR his time, his energy, his loyalty, his extraordinary talent, and his unwavering commitment. He showed up—not only when the lights were on and the room was full, but in the quiet moments of preparation, teamwork, encouragement, and service that made everything possible. When Dom was in the building, we knew everything would be alright. He never let anything fall. Not on his watch. He reverenced TVR like it was his very own- with honor and respect. He believed in what we were building. He carried the mission with pride, helped shape its culture, and represented what it means to lead with artistry, integrity, generosity, and heart. Whether he was teaching, creating, supporting another artist, or simply bringing his unmistakable light into the room, Dom made the work—and all of us—better. Dom was the avatar of Texture vs Race: a master artist and educator who moved fluidly across every fabric, connected deeply with people, and embodied the truth that hair is a fabric, not a race. If we stumble as we find our way through these uncertain times, may we remember to center ourselves in the good that lives within us. Dom led with what was true to his heart. There was never a question about who he was because he lived it—openly, consistently, and without compromise.
