So much of recruitment happens behind the scenes, and we couldn’t let PC ’26 happen without recognizing the people who made it all possible. Huge shout out to our executive board for dedicating so many months of planning, preparation, and dedication. 🤍

Big risks, High rewards.

10 years ago I leveraged my gifting for writing to tell my story. I knew the power of literacy, but just never imagined my story could empower its own community.

It’s a risk that required vulnerability, courage, and a lot of hustle but a decade later I’m glad for it. Yesterday’s Risk, Today’s Reward.

A very special thank you to @armanivalentino1 of College Boy Publishing who nurtured my potential into promise—he’s the one who turned my idea into a real project. Special acknowledgments also to @kwcosby of @ssclive who then platformed this project convincing me of my own brilliance when it escaped me at times.

I’m so grateful. ❤️ #PERSPECTIVE #BOOKVERSARY

Day 22: Black Poet

We couldn’t let all of this time go by without recognizing another of very own, Danielle Polion.

Danielle is a Senior at NKU majoring in Electronic Media and Broadcasting with a minor in theatre from Louisville, Kentucky. On campus, she serves as a Lead Mentor for the ROCKS Program, an ESPN Production crew worker with NKU Media Services, and the proud Vice President of the Sensational Sigma Zeta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Danielle is an amazing poet who has been featured in several events and programs throughout her time at NKU. She has several original pieces and we are so proud of her. After graduation in May, Danielle plans to pursue her Master’s degree in Communications.
