This Yogi went to the State Capital in Baton Rouge yesterday with @adrindakelly to stand on the side of justice.
But the universe, as she often does, had more in store.

There are people who walk into the fire not because they must —
but because they cannot imagine doing otherwise.

Lt. General Russel Honoré is such a man.
When the waters rose and the world looked away, he came.
He lowered the weapons.
He steadied the chaos.
He reminded us — with quiet thunder —
that we do not destroy what we are sworn to protect.

When he walked out of those chambers today
I could not speak. Only tears. Only gratitude too large for words.
I have loved musicians. I have loved artists.
But I have never been so moved by a human being who used his power not to conquer — but to save.

Today will echo in me for the rest of my life.
Thank you, General. You saved a city.
And that city — saved me.

Starting Yoga at any age is a 🙏🏾blessing—and a 💡brilliant idea.
Number one: it’s never too late.
Number two: I started practicing yoga at 28, and now, at 48, I’m truly reaping the rewards. Honestly, the math doesn’t add up—48 feels more like 28, and I don’t feel or look my age. It’s as if I’ve slowed down the aging process.

I can do everything a 28-year-old can do—and more. You get the best of both worlds: youthful vitality and beauty combined with wisdom, emotional intelligence, and experience. The difference between a 28-year-old’s prefrontal 🧠cortex and that of a 48-year-old is significant, yet my skin, legs, and energy levels are just as vibrant—if not more so—than they were two decades ago.

To everyone celebrating my 🎂birthday this year—thank you. I’ve received more wishes than ever before, from followers, friends, strangers, and loved ones from around the 🌍world—many who’ve been supporting my journey through Magnolia Yoga Studio @magnoliayogastudio for nearly a decade.

My message to you: keep practicing Yoga, and start as early as possible. The benefits—immediate, short-term, and long-term—are 💰priceless. They can’t be bought, 💉injected, or surgically enhanced. Yoga nurtures your natural, organic radiance and infuses you with positive, ⚡️fierce energy.

Here’s to aging gracefully, powerfully, and beautifully—on and off the mat.

A special thanks to the best make up 🎨artist for capturing this little speech ! @makeupby1beautifulblunt
