And that’s a wrap on GENESIS 🎉

On Saturday night my lil dreams came true ❤️ GENESIS was a huge labour of love, and I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who played a part in the project from the bottom of my heart:

- @paul_shego Co-Director and choreographer. Thank you for breathing life into the dance, and helping shape the narrative so beautifully.

- @ciandoeslights Production. You will never cease to amaze me with your talent and capacity to innovate.

- @lavenderthequeen / @lavenderdesignie on Visual Design. Thank you for your endless care and patience during this project. There is quite literally nobody else I would trust with such an intrinsic part of the project, your commitment to bringing the narrative to life was as comforting as it was inspiring.

- @claudia_strutt @amymackenn and @charliecorriganxo the most incredibly talented and dedicated dancers. I could not have hoped to work with better talent in bring the project to life.

- @deanos.ie the official best boy in the whole wide world and even better stage manager. Always in safe hands when you’re on the roster 🥰

- @motherdublin Cormac and Lisa, I could NOT have done this without your unwavering support.

It’s just over a week before I debut GENESIS at @dublinfringefest - my first solo show! Here’s the first draft of the show image by the incredible @danielmooney ✨

Drag is my way of transforming myself totally, not just in the physical sense. I’ve always wanted Shaqira to possess certain qualities that I felt I lacked. Performing as Shaqira has taught me what it feels like to own your confidence, sensuality, femininity and queerness. It’s been a rollercoaster for sure with highs and lows, but I’m proud to say that she feels more like an extension of me now more than ever.

After only one week of hitting our screens with its second season, Wednesday (@wednesdaynetflix) once again became the most-watched title on Netflix, hitting 29.1 million views. The new season was shot in Ireland, with locations including Dean’s Grange Cemetery in Co Dublin and Charleville Castle in Co Offaly. But it wasn’t only the beautiful Irish landscapes that made an appearance on the series. Here are some of the talented queer designers from or based in Ireland who worked on costumes for Wednesday Season 2.⁠
