It was such a pleasure to lead and perform with @ensemblekallisto and most importantly it was so much fun jamming with all who made it out!

Mother is out!! 🤍🧡 I am beyond grateful that I get to share this song with you all. Such a labour of love, so many changes, so much magic and and so much love was poured into this song from so many people. A song to celebrate being a woman, no matter what your choices are in the future. I am so grateful to be alive and I have my mother and her mother, and her mother and my nana to thank and so forth and so forth. This song was written to grapple with the heavy emotions that surround the world and the future and how we may feel bringing new life into it. The cover image is a photo of my beautiful grandmother Joyce holding her first of four amazing children - my mother Julie. (Location unknown but it looks lovely)

Shahyad est bien plus qu'une simple place au cœur de Téhéran ; c'est le symbole d'une modernité iranienne émergente, ancrée dans ses racines séculaires, mais dont l'épanouissement complet a été interrompu. La musique a été un pilier de cette effervescence, démontrant que l'art iranien pouvait rivaliser avec ses contemporains d'Orient et d'Occident—et même les dépasser—par son harmonie, sa richesse rythmique et son esprit novateur.

Inspiré par ce monument iconique, le spectacle « Shah-Yâd » réinterprète des mélodies des quatre coins de l'Iran à travers des arrangements modernes et audacieux, créant un pont captivant entre tradition et modernité iraniennes.
