This is not how we imagined sharing these photos 💔

It is with broken hearts that we share the loss of our baby boy. At 5 and half months into pregnancy, we had to say goodbye to our first baby.

What began as one of the happiest seasons of our lives quickly became our darkest. Through it all, we have been surrounded by an incredible support system. Our doctors have shown us extraordinary compassion, and our family and friends have carried us through moments we never thought we would face.

Leo has been our constant companion through every step of this journey. For more than three years, we’ve loved him as our baby, and throughout these past weeks he has stayed by our side, comforting us, catching our tears, and reminding us that love comes in different ways. He has been an answered prayer in our desire to nurture and parent, even if it’s our sweet, furry good boy.

As we navigate this unimaginable loss, we may not have the strength to respond to messages or comments right away. Please know that we are deeply grateful for every prayer, kind word, and expression of love. When we first shared that we were expecting, your excitement and joy was amazing, and we will always be thankful for this community that has continued to surround us with so much love. We ask that you continue to keep our family in your prayers as we grieve our son. We trust that, in His perfect timing, God will one day bless us with the family we’ve been praying for.

These beautiful photos were taken by the incredibly talented @codyketchumphotography in Hawaii. While this is not the story we thought they would tell, they capture the immense love and happiness our baby boy brought into our lives. We will cherish the five months we carried him, loved him, dreamed about him, and were blessed to be his parents. He will forever be a part of us.

Pool dayz 🩵💦☀️

Had the best time playing in the pool with my cousin. We learned the hard way that jumping over and over off the concrete is dangerous for doggy nails so everyone please be careful and wear shoes‼️ we ordered @wagwear and will be using those moving forward.
