Today marks 7 years of Circle Author. To be fully transparent, I never thought we would have made it this far. There were so many times I wanted to give up, many times I didn’t know how I would pay rent or pay off business loans. Because of the many people who have believed in this vision and helped along the way we have been able to continue pushing. 
With that being said, I am grateful and optimistic for the future of Circle Author. This year has so much in store for the brand, and the pieces we are getting ready to release are some of my most proud work.

SWIPE TO THE END :) — This year I’m really trying to show more bts of the creative process behind creating products / clothing / shoes etc. I’ll get better at formatting but I’m just gonna drop everything right here. I have many people often ask how do you even make something especially a shoe or clothing or tech product so here’s —-> how it started vs how it finished. All together about a 9 month process… FREE GAME ALERT To start I hit my guy @mich.ael.yarborough and told him my vision for the shoe. His first sketch really set the tone and he understood what I wanted to eventually materialize really well ( this is chemistry from years of working together ) I DID NOT WANT A SHOE W JUST A MASSIVE LOGO ON IT SO WE CREATED OUR OWN ABSTRACT WEBBING 🕷️🕸️ So here was the timeline 1. Sketch 2. Detailed mock ups and many edits and revisions and potential color options 3. Initial custom mold built but still needed more edits so went back to the drawing board 4. A closer mold to what we would eventually drop with just example random colorway 5. - 6. Very detailed tech pack to send over to Manu so we make sure everything detail is perfect 7. Initial sample. Still needed work 8. Bubble logo perfected 9. Color swatch selection 10-11. box design 12. Final draft of shoe completed ( 2-3 week process to do 200 and then being shipped over to bama this took about a 10 days 13. Final product with professional photography All in all this was about a 9 month process. The thing about creating something from scratch is it often times takes a lot longer than you think ( perfectionist energy 🤣) which is why the fashion calendar works how it does and why patience is key to make a strong product. I know this was a novel but I hope it encourages someone to go start and actually get active with that idea you have. It’s 2026. You can do anything - DM ME I would love to hear and help. Godspeed 🏅🦋
