@caseytrela is a beautiful writer, artist and person. Here are some 2019 gems just seeing the light of day now. They honestly hit so hard now that it’s hard to believe they’ve been living on his Dropbox for years! Proceeds go to the Trevor Project.

Go get it here:

I have become 40. To mark the occasion, I released some music on Bandcamp. Any money I make from it for the next month will go to Trevor Project. You can also donate directly to Trevor Project. Links to do both will be in my link place. Here's a little thing I wrote about the music:

In May of 2019, during my lunch break, I biked over to Dino’s pizza in Burbank to meet up with Lo and Jordan. The bike ride is a memory that doesn’t feel real. There was a butterfly migration happening that was passing through Burbank that moment, so I was coasting through a sea of butterflies in the air. It was beautiful, and a little scary- just the shear number of butterflies was overwhelming, and I had to dodge them. The butterflies and I all came through this experience of each other safely. Jordan and Lo and I ate pizza. They offered me the opportunity to record a few songs of my own that they would produce, putting together a band and booking a day in a studio. I biked back again through the butterflies to my day job. I started writing new songs while pretending to work, then fluttered home.

“Until it Does” by @dresagemusic is out today. Kind of wild to have such a pivotal moment captured by the person who lived it with me, and in the most beautiful way. Extra bonus to get to add drums to it and generally share in all things music and life. Love you always, kbb.

We thought it would cost us about $30,000 to make this record. Turns out, it costs more. 🤣

We always knew we wanted to raise $50K or more, but our original plan was that the first $30K would make the record, and anything beyond that would help us put it out into the world.

Now that we’ve actually made it through six days in the studio, we know more.

We still have mixing and mastering to finish paying for, producer costs, people who documented the recording, a music video in the works, and a few things the songs still need before we can officially call this record DONE.

And we’d really like to make sure the people who have given so much of their time and talent to this record are taken care of. ❤️

So we’re still working toward our next goal of $50K. We’re at $31,726 right now, and every dollar from here helps us finish this record the way we want to finish it.

Anything we raise beyond what it takes to finish the record goes toward getting it out into the world. We’re learning as we go. Thank you for being part of it with us. Link in bio. 🌹

11 songs. Six days. 🌹

We’re home from the studio and still trying to process what just happened.

We went in with 11 songs we loved and came home with a record that feels bigger, more beautiful, and more us than we knew it could.

This week we’re living with the first mixes, listening, taking notes, and figuring out what each song still needs.

But for now, we’re just really, really proud.

Thank you to the incredible people who gave their time and talent to these songs. And thank you to every single person who helped us get into that room in the first place.

You helped make this.

We have SO much footage to share, so we’re starting with a little glimpse into the first few days of recording. ❤️ More to come.
