Big fan of all these guys! They’re all grown up and not my responsibility anymore, but proud to see what they are doing and accomplishing in the real world.

Congrats on the W Jeremiah, Tyler, and Gunnar! And congrats on your marriage Leo and Stacey! Oh, and happy late birthday to my wife who got to spend her birthday with her first kids(the HG Soccer Boys)!

Senior night, so I’m sharing @daniels.gunnar first soccer photo. He was definitely the most adorable little guy

I have sat on it a few days and I finally found my words. I feel robbed. Plain & simple. I knew going into Tuesdays game against Randolph that it was potentially their last home game and their opportunity to be in the playoffs.
I didn’t know that it was also potentially their last game, meaning Gunnar’s last high school game. So when it was over and I was already upset and crying, I went to the car so Gunnar didn’t see me and I could gather myself. Then Drew decided to join me, and we left. We left him at the field, and I came home and went to sleep without seeing or speaking to Gunnar. I didn’t see or speak to him until I got home from work the following day. I feel awful that he thought for even a moment we didn’t care. I’ve always been there for everything, and I missed this moment because I thought we had more games on the schedule and make up games to be made up. I had to steal the last photo from a friend. The look on their faces breaks my heart. Gunnar’s future is still yet to be written and we have so much to look forward to. I know wherever life takes him, it’s going to be amazing. But this right here hurt my heart more than I thought it would.
