Beyond the Blueprint

The private viewing brought together the architects and designers behind Beyond the Blueprint, with participants from mainland China, Hong Kong and the UK gathering at The Fifty-Six for an evening of dialogue and connection.

Exhibition Director @guan_zhi_xiong and Curator @chiucybil shared the exhibition’s vision and the potential for future collaborations.

As sun sets, guests were invited to take up pens and draw their own visions of London, or blueprints for the future, directly onto the glass. The exhibition extended beyond the artworks, becoming a shared space for imagining and creating what lies ahead.

More information about the exhibition will be shared soon.

🧬 What happens when the human body becomes the starting point for architecture?

EXOFORM by Daniel Widrig (@danielwidrig) explores the intersection of computational design, sculpture, fashion, and architecture through a series of digitally designed and fabricated structures that interact with the human body.

Inspired by anatomical systems, the collection features intricate geometries resembling exoskeletons, branching bones, and organic frameworks. Developed through computational modeling and digital fabrication, these sculptural forms extend around the body, transforming human proportions while moving between wearable objects, furniture, and spatial structures.

From body-scale sculptures to furniture-like installations, EXOFORM demonstrates how a shared computational design language can operate across different scales. Through the interaction of geometry, movement, and human anatomy, the project challenges conventional definitions of what can be worn, occupied, or experienced as architecture.

💬 Would you consider these creations fashion, sculpture, or architecture?

THE COTF ZINE — PRINT IT ANYWHERE.

At Classics, we believe experimental architecture and design should be available to all.

We connect the ideas shaping the future of architecture with culture at large—projects that excite, surprise, challenge, and spark something within you.

The future of architecture is born from experimentation, and we want as many people as possible to be let into this world.

Introducing The COTF Zine: printable editions of our interviews, designed to be printed anywhere—at home, in the office, or wherever you are.

Three editions are already available, featuring conversations with Ensamble Studio, Oyler Wu Collaborative, and Quayola. More editions will be released with every new interview.

Download each zine directly from its interview page.

Body Objects at Room 57 Gallery in New York City curated by @brechtwrightgander. Final week @room57gallery

The term “Body Objects” was coined by Ann Hamilton in the mid 80s to describe her sui generis artwork, of which her own body was a constituent part. In the Body Objects of this exhibit, aesthetic pressure builds on two sides. On the one: the technological and mechanistic. On the other, the sensually persuasive and libidinally charged. This pressure flares outward into dichotomies between the grown and the made, the animate and the inanimate, the agent and the instrument.
