🍰The Swedish Embassy team put our aprons on and made Sweden’s iconic Princess Cake, guided by Chef Daniel, the Swedish chef from Four Seasons Singapore, during his residency at Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur. 👑 Prinsesstårta is a national favourite in Sweden — sponge cake, raspberry jam, pastry cream, whipped cream, and a signature green marzipan dome topped with a pink rose. It was named in honour of Sweden’s three princesses in the early 1900s, who were especially fond of this dessert. We assembled it layer by layer: spreading the jam, piping the creams, shaping the marzipan rose, and the hardest part — trying to drape the marzipan smoothly without a single crease! A sweet team-building afternoon, and tack så mycket to Chef Daniel and the Four Seasons team for hosting us and sharing this slice of Swedish tradition 🎂

In @swedense, Midsummer is one of the year's most cherished celebrations. It marks the arrival of the long, bright days of summer and is a time to reconnect with nature, gather with loved ones, and celebrate the simple joys of life. Whether in a bustling city, a quiet village or a family cottage, generations come together to weave flower crowns, dance around the Midsummer pole and share festive meals. We were delighted to bring a taste of this cherished tradition to the heart of Singapore for the second year running. Many Swedes have now returned home to enjoy the summer vacation, while others are celebrating wherever they may be around the world. Wherever you are, we wish you a Midsummer filled with sunshine, laughter, good company and moments to treasure! I had the honour to be invited to celebrate the Swedish national day *celebration and the celebration of the 60th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Sweden and Singapore. An amazing buffet with Swedish meatballs, salmon, Kalix Vendace Roe, sausages, cakes and a lot more. Fantastic drinks, music and people! Thank you to H.E. Fantastic food by chef Daniel and the Four Seasons Team, Swedish Folk music and Priscilla performed the Singaporean and Swedish national anthem. Thanks to @lilsundqvist for teaching her!
