Headed to Darien Design Social on Tuesday, October 6 and Wednesday, October 7 at Meadowlands at the DCA? Prepared to be WOWED by the work of artist and textile designer Danika Herrick!✨ Danika has a background in art, interior design, and decorative painting, and her creative journey has always centered on transforming spaces. After starting her career as a decorative artist, she quickly realized she wanted to do more than just paint the walls, so she went back to school for interior design. That passion eventually led her to launch a design blog, co-found the fretwork company O'verlays, and most importantly, begin designing her own fabrics.✨ Danika's love of pattern is rooted in childhood weekends spent exploring flea markets and antique shops along the East Coast. Those early experiences sparked a deep appreciation for tradition and vintage detail, which now live on in her work. From blue-and-white ceramics to antique embroidery, her designs always nod to the past while feeling fresh, fun, and full of personality.✨ Danika splits her time between the North Shore of Boston and the Gulf Coast of Florida, two regions that continue to inspire her colorful, pattern-rich creations.✨ Come join the fun and meet Danika and all of our Darien Design Social participants. Tickets are available at the link in our profile! ✨
