A little behind-the-scenes on this one.

While I wasn’t able to be there on their wedding day, my associate photographer (also named Dani, @danileiphoto 🥳) stepped in to document every beautiful detail. I edited the gallery, Dani 🤝 Dani.

So grateful to have such talented friends who I can lean on and trust to serve my couples when life throws you a curveball. Big congrats to Corrine + Blake! I hope your wedding day was everything you dreamed of and more 🥂✨

10 years ago I celebrated my first Mother’s Day. Some know my story in this, some don’t. And that’s okay. It’s been a long ten years to get here, full of regret, remorse, shame, forgiveness, hopelessness, loss, confusion. The way my body felt empty after the worst choice of my life then, to then the emptiness of trying to create new life later on and having it not work the way I hoped for years. The last two mother’s days have brought new pains from family situations. And now I sit here writing this with my sweet baby I got to nurse to sleep for his morning nap, but after all of us were up all night and exhausted because that’s how it goes! I’ve just realized Mother’s Day might always be messy, it might never feel “perfect”. So many of us have loss they experience today but I also know so many of us are celebrating the wins we’ve had. To the moms who have loved us through all the pain, the mom like influences who have come in to show us a better way in life, to the way we show up for OURSELVES and the friends who bear our burdens with us. There’s no way to describe this journey of motherhood to anyone and it’s different for everyone. But I’m a wide open book and have wide open arms to anyone struggling in this journey whether that be in the beginning middle or sadly sometimes ending of it. Motherhood is not for the weak. It’s for the humble and the courageous. The ones brave enough to love with their whole entire heart and being and then some more.

To be Banners mom is something I will never feel worthy of but will constantly give my all to. Forever my heart is yours son ❤️ you amaze me and are my walking daily miracle.
