UPDATE.
My short film, Sol Summer, is temporarily available for public viewing. This is for the Film.io competition, in sponsorship with the HollyShorts Film Festival.

Here’s how to watch and vote for the film:
-Click the link in my Bio and sign up to create an account (it’s free).
-Go to the Search Bar and type “Sol Summer”. Click on the film when you see it.
-After watching the film, click the VOTE button. From there, click on FAN Power and select the MAX button. Then leave a review (5 stars would be nice, but whatever you feel comfortable with).

With all that in mind, enjoy the film while it’s still available. By this winter, there’ll be more updates on when the film will officially be released publicly. Good luck to all the other nominees.

A Christmas surprise you could say. The first trailer for my next (short) film, “SOL Summer”.
Filmed it last April with me and a handful of people. I wanted to make something that felt relevant to the chaos of life we’re living in, but I also wanted to explore the abstract without explaining myself to people. The end result is a film that I feel very confident with and excited to share with y’all.
Coming to Film Festivals in 2026.
Releasing to the public in 2027.

Starring @danilizwatson @thejojogogo @fritzthemann

Took me a long time to write up anything, as I felt very underwhelmed watching both films back-to-back in theaters. Don’t get me wrong, there are great moments. The acting remains my favorite aspect of the film. If Cynthia stole the show in the first film, this felt more like Ariana’s time to showcase more dramatic depth, which she did exceptionally well. It’s 20 minutes shorter compared to the first film, and it hurts the overall story. A lot of people preferred the first part of the Broadway Play to the second, and the same is happening with the movie. When it comes to film adaptations, I’m okay with taking creative liberties, and I wish they had taken more with this film. It felt very rushed, and I left feeling underwhelmed, to be honest. The “For Good” performance was very sweet, but compared to “Defying Gravity”, it just doesn’t hold a candle.
Taking that into consideration, the scene immediately after, where Glinda and Elphaba say they love each other, was my favorite moment in the film. Knowing that was improvised in the moment makes me appreciate that scene more. There wasn’t a dry eye in the auditorium during that sequence.
I have some other issues with how they used, or didn’t use, Dorthy and the other characters, but I’ll discuss that for another time. It’s an enjoyable film with great moments. Wicked (2024) was the Lord of the Rings of musical adaptations, and then Wicked: For Good (2025) serves as the Hobbit version. Take that as you will. We need an Extended Cut.

Today’s my birthday, and I can’t help but reflect on a tough year. Social media loves to show a highlight reel, but behind the curtain? Life can be messy.
I was laid off, missed opportunities due to health, witnessed violence both personal and global. Change—good or bad—proved inevitable. For someone like me, on the spectrum, that’s not easy. But I’m learning to give myself grace, trust that life unfolds for a reason, and ride the waves.
