From the bottom of my heart, thank you Dani & Always Hallways for inviting me back to perform at the greatest festival, @outsidelands. I went for one day back in its first year in 2008 and never expected that I'd return to perform!

Dani, you are a natural. Your performance was so raw and you owned that stage. It's been an honor being able to share the stage with you for a little over a year, and I can't wait to see you own whatever stage comes next. As always(hallways), I'll be there supporting you. Love you, Dani!

Monroe, ever since our first show at Bottom of the Hill, you have grown out of your shell and completely transformed, bringing a new wave of energy and joy to the stage. You too have come to own that spotlight, and I'll always cherish any time I get to perform with you in any format. Love you, Monroe.

Izzy, I miss practices at your place. I miss our coffee/espresso martini practices. Your voice is right up there with Dani's. Your ear for harmonies is impeccable, but you also know that your songwriting has a special place in my heart. You shine just as bright as everyone else in this band. Love you, Izzy.

Sanjay, I was so excited to get back in a rehearsal room with you and start things off with our little jams again. It sparked a joy in me that I had been craving for a long time. You are so talented on the keys, as well as having an amazing voice. I can't wait to jam and perform with you again. Love you, Sanjay.

Roan, I felt horrible leaving the way I did right after you joined the band. We didn't have enough time to jam and really lock in. But we locked in during the weeks leading up to the fest. I also got to spend some one-on-one time with you this weekend, and beneath that talent of yours is such a caring soul—a lovable teddy bear. I couldn't have asked for a better partner in crime that weekend. Love you, Roan.

Liam, though we haven't spent much time together, I can confidently say you are a beautiful soul with a beautiful voice, and I hope to get to know you more the next time I see you. I know it's not the last. Love you, Liam

🔙 to timeless Paris after six years to turn 32!

those who know me well know that one of the best chapters of my life was getting to live here for part of my degree and whenever I am fortunate enough to return, I hope to pull some of that magic back into my life.

favourite neighbourhoods, moments to journal, pray and reflect, the hum of the city, speaking French, eating amazing food and witnessing the best art, meeting new people, living in thankfulness and awe and ultimately — remembering how God SHOWS UP for me… I can’t think of a better way to commemorate LIFE than in Paris. truly grateful for the time alone this year to remind my soul of itself and get inspired.

I hope to return again soon 🖤 and thank you for all of the birthday wishes! While on this part of my trip, I received some of the most amazing messages from people and felt so so so much love and meaning flood back into my core.

31 was testing, trying and stressful, full of change and loss, and even still, amidst impossible blessings and miracles strewn throughout, I found myself searching high and low for reprieve and pursuing whatever avenues I could to find it. Usually that pattern for me ends with a wake-up call, failure or disappointment. Nearing the end of 31, I began to prioritize myself and listen to God again instead of believing I could do it all. I believe this year will hold and see a lot more of healing and loving myself. And sometimes that starts with taking yourself to your favourite city alone 😉

Moments from our @outsidelands set!

Am I technically in this band? Nooo BUT ever since I met Dani and Izzy my freshman year of college, we have shared the same chosen family and with that has come sharing the coolest opportunities.

Izzy and I returned to our acapella roots to arrange vocals for the set. Very grateful to the hallways for letting us go ham with the harms. Izzy is a genius and we’re going to work on a million more projects together I know it. And GOD I love to see Dani Satin shine. Everyone in this band is an f’ing sweetheart. Photos are all by @carolynwangphoto ! Talking to her made us all way less nervous before the show she is the best.

MY SISTER JUST PERFORMED AS A LEAD SINGER AT ONE OF THE BIGGEST MUSIC FESTIVALS IN THE WORLD!!! Do you ever have a single weekend that feels like you jumped through a portal into another dimension?

From watching my sister perform, to screaming with Dani, “Mount Everest ain’t got shit on me, ’cause I’m on top of the world,” to singing Sweet Disposition on my brother’s death anniversary.

From running and laughing through crowds to catch the last ten minutes of Infinity Song, to making new chosen family and growing closer with old, to witnessing people truly love and care for one another.

And then finishing the weekend with @rufusdusol piercing through the atmosphere.

Some weekends rearrange you a little. They remind you how much life can hold at once grief, joy, music, and especially possibility.

I’m excited to see what this new dimension has in store. 🚀
