POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Last weekend, I married my best friend...in an entirely thrifted outfit.

It was the most fabulous day of our lives and we're still utterly buzzing from all the love and laughter shared.
We knew exactly what we wanted and tried our best to stick to a budget, whilst making sure we supported local small businesses and mostly sourcing things secondhand.

As we began our search, we were immediately faced with something quite obvious - the amount on offer for femme attire was overwhelming, whereas there was a clear room for improvement regarding formal masculine attire.
Whilst Daniel ended up having to get his outfit brand new, I spent time sourcing the perfect wedding outfit...which admittedly changed several times due to having bubba 😅

I bought my original dress on Depop before I fell pregnant.
I then tried it on post bubba and of course I couldn't do up the zip.
I was mortified.
In my panic, I bought several more dresses through Vinted (sacks and loose fitted pieces that made me look like a bean bag because my sizing was all over the place) and didn't like any of them until the very last one arrived in July - a month before we were due to get married.
A £20 Lace & Beads tulle dress.

Thankfully I found a local seamstress @susannaclements who was able to work her magic with a quick turnaround that enabled me to breastfeed easily whilst wearing the dress.

My heels were also from Vinted - Vivienne Westwood Lady Dragons, which I ended up getting for free...full story to come later...

My "veil" coat was from Depop, handmade in Nigeria and is hands down the most fabulous piece of clothing I've ever owned.

My earrings from Vinted - £8
My necklace from eBay - £35

My something old, new, borrowed and blue from friends and family.

And finally my massive rose bouquet was handmade and gifted by my extremely talented friend @lisa_marie_popple who somehow perfectly captured exactly what I wanted through my baby brain voice note rants 😅🤣

I also wanted bubba to look similar to me so I bought her dress on Vinted for £4.
