It’s finally out !!

Words can’t describe how excited I (we) am (are) that this EP is finally out in the audio verse.

We’ve spent a lot of hours rehearsing and recording it, going over songs and finding the right elements for each one, giving them the wings and space they each deserve.

I’ve spent countless late nights after work piecing each composition together with sweat, hard fingertips and a heart sometimes bursting in tears.

In the end, you cannot create anything perfect. You can only do your best. This, I can honestly say, is our band at its very best.

Thank you to @danmells for belief in my quirky and slightly unusual music early on, and for shaping the early days of ‘Sunchild’ and ‘H E A R T B E A T’.

Thank you to @buffalorecordingstudio for the coolest recording experience @markobarto and I have ever had.

Thank you to @oliver_mckiernan and @seb_hankins_drums for swift hands on the drums and bass on our first single.

Thanks to @florin.constantin.pascu for percussive precision and great ears and talent when it comes to both production and mixing/mastering.

Thank you to @reginald_murungu for being the eternal challenger who in the end gets the songs in the right direction.

Thank you to @markobarto for guitar madness and smoothness - you’re a player in every sense of the word.

Finally, thank you to my love @nataliegardner_x for believing in me and giving me the strength to believe in myself. Without you none of this would have ever happened. You are definitely the better singer (hah!) and I love you dearly. + we’re getting married next week!!! 🥰

I’ve always been a misfit with a lot of questions who wouldn’t settle for easy truths. I always got on well with people, and I guess my journey into music has been as necessary as it has been inevitable.

Thank you for being a part of this journey.

We’re only just getting started.

Lots of love,

Jakob + the Liars ❤️❤️❤️
