POV: Your instructor calls EVERYONE “Patricia.” 😂🩰

Who is Patricia?
Why are we all Patricia?
Do we even know anymore? 😂

We had WAY too much fun making this one, and we hope you laughed with us! 🩰🤣

Now it’s your turn 👇
What’s that one name your instructor calls EVERYONE? 😂

Drop it in the comments—we need to know we’re not the only ones! 👀⬇️

✨ “At this point, I’m not sure what my name is either.” 😂

Beyond the Competition Stage 🌎🩰

One of the things that makes @yagp so special is that the experience doesn’t end when the competition does.

Through YAGP, young dancers are exposed to an incredibly wide world of dance. They meet teachers they may have first seen on a YAGP stage, learn from judges and artists from many different dance backgrounds, and experience different teaching styles and perspectives.

Over the years, YAGP has connected young dancers with teachers and opportunities from so many schools, organizations, and Summer Intensive Programs — including Colorado Ballet Academy, Southland Ballet Academy, Houston Ballet, Oklahoma City Ballet,YGP Dance Lab, YGP Italy, YGP China, Vaganova International Program(VIP) and many, many more.

Each experience can bring something different: a new correction, a different approach to training, a teacher who inspires them, friendships with dancers from different places, or simply a better understanding of how big the dance world really is. 🌎

And sometimes, the most meaningful growth happens beyond the competition stage — inside the studio, through a correction, a conversation, a new friendship, or an experience that opens a young dancer’s eyes to something they had never seen before.

Competition may bring them together, but education, connection, exposure, and a shared love for dance are what keep this community growing. ❤️

The photos in this post are a few moments I captured during @vaganovainternationalprogram VIP, where I’ve had the opportunity to see these connections continue through my lens. 📸🩰

Jumps, petite jumps, pseudo jumps, big jumps…

Many current and former Orlando MET dancers giving us all they got for those jumps.

What do you guys think? 🤔 are jumps your favorite parts of Variations or Pirouettes? Or just the poses and the lines, or the interpretation or the music?

We read you in the comments!

#OrlandoMET #StudioCompany and #BalletAcademy at it’s finest performing a beautiful piece choreographed by @mares.sanchez at the @drphillipsctr last June!

First day at VIP was amazing! ✨

Feeling incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be in Las Vegas and train with such inspiring teachers and dancers. Every class is a chance to learn, grow, and push myself to the next level.

A huge thank you to @orlandometropolitan for your support over the years, and to @vaganovainternationalprogram for the invitation and opportunity to continue growing as an artist.

Special thanks to @alexeimoskalenko and @natalia_bashkatova for making this incredible experience possible! 🩰❤️

Excited for the rest of the two weeks and everything still to come!

Measuring life in performances, rehearsals, competitions, and the moments in between 🩰✨

Every stage, every correction, every challenge, and every applause helps shape the dancer I’m becoming. So grateful for the endless love, encouragement, and opportunities along the way.

A huge thank you to @orlandometropolitan and @lauracristina_tc for believing in me, supporting my journey, and helping me grow both as a dancer and as a person. 💙

What performance or competition has been your favorite memory so far? Tell me below! ⬇️

Loved spending Saturday at the Houston Zoo with some of my dance family before watching Senior Finals 🩰🤍🐾

We explored, laughed nonstop, and of course picked our favorite animals along the way. Mine is definitely the capybara — unbothered, adorable, and living its best life 😂

What’s YOUR favorite animal? ⬇️
