Ok everyone. Life hasn't been the best the past week. But we have to make the best of it, right? Last week I noticed a floater in my eye. I should've done something but I didnt. On Sunday, I then experienced internal hemorrhaging in not one but both of my eyes leading to an ER visit. All they could do was confirm my eyes bled internally and refer me to a retinal specialist. On Monday, my wonderful mother took me across the border to a specialist in Tijuana, who confirmed my diagnosis and advised I needed surgery in both eyes. So I scheduled it for Thursday. I went down on Wednesday to get a pre-op clearance, then Thursday underwent a Vitrioectomy in my left eye. They took out all the fluid in my eye, cauterized any bleeds and repaired any damage to my retina before filling my eye with silicone oil. I am happy to report the surgery was successful and I am regaining vision in my left eye. Recovery will be a while, but I'm not giving up. My right eye is still affected, but it will be fixed soon. This time I'm hoping doctors in the states will find it in their hearts to just do the damn surgery. Take care of yourselves, and I need to love and take care of myself better for sure. Huge thanks and love to Melissa, the girls, my mother, my sister, my boys of LQCP, and last but not least, Dr Mike Fleming who has become my big brother and mentor.
