SoCal regional premiere of Dear Evan Hansen @cygnettheatre.

So grateful to our incredible director @bcbmccarty and assistant director @thethirddawson, our wonderful music team @marionmusic2019 and @codychris, our amazing SM team @lmzing, @stagemanager1618, and @karinamortega, and everyone else in between for their remarkable work on this stunning production.

And also I played Connor in case you were wondering. I’ll remember it for forever.

“There’s not another truck in the driveway”…
one week ago today we said goodbye to our beautiful show. I still don’t have the proper words to sum up what this experience meant to me, how it shaped me as an actor, & the way I learned to love deeper because of it. @bcbmccarty & @cygnettheatre - “thank you” will just never be enough to express my true & deep gratitude. To the gorgeous cast, the rockstar crew, the genius creatives, the generous staff, the wildly talented musicians - words simply fail…You are all my heroes! Lastly, @aidenmeyndert playing your mama was the honor of my career. I am SO proud to be Hansens for life! “When it all feels so big, till it all feels so small…” 🩵

Saying goodbye to my girl Zoe at least for now. Immense love and thanks to my famsens; dedicated SM team; insane band; beautifully intentional designers; our wonderfully talented creatives Blake, Theresa, Katy, Patrick, and Cody; and Cygnet Theatre for the chance to play her. ✨✨

Dear Evan Hansen — evening, October 7th 2026 👕

Third time’s the charm! This was my third time getting to see Dear Evan Hansen live, but my first time seeing it here at Cygnet Theatre! Both other times I’ve seen this show on its national tours have been from pretty far back in the theater, but last night I was right smack in the front row. Being that this show is more intimate and naturalistic, being right up in front elevated the experience SO much!

One thing that made this experience so special is that they had a little tapestry out in the lobby where you could write an inspiring message on a post-it note and stick it on the drape. My friends and I wrote our messages before we went in, and I included a picture of mine at the end. (There is ALWAYS time ♥️)

STAGE DOOR LOCATION: There is no designated stage door at Cygnet, so my friends and I waited in the lobby, and all the actors came out!
FAVORITE CHARACTER: Through all of his faults - and there are MANY - my favorite character in this show is and always has been the insanely cool Jared Kleinman (played damn near flawlessly by the hilarious Danny Holmes).
FAVORITE STAGE DOOR MOMENT: Easily my favorite moment at last night’s stage door was getting to meet the wonderfully talented Aiden Meyndert again after seeing him in Karaoke Dreams last summer! He was EXCELLENT as the titular role!

Dear Evan Hansen is only playing one more weekend at Cygnet Theatre - their final performance (after extension!) is this Sunday, October 11th! Catch this amazing show before then! Til next time, see y’all at the stage door!

So much happening at Cygnet Theatre! 👀

🩵 It’s the FINAL WEEK of our riveting production of Broadway phenomenon Dear Evan Hansen. You do not want to miss this heartfelt show.

💻 Psychological thriller JOB starts performances TONIGHT at The Dottie Studio.

💼 Single tickets are now on sale for the wildly funny slapstick British farce ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS to be presented at The Joseph Clayes III stage.

Join us for all three fantastic shows right here at The Joan.

I have struggled to post about 'Dear Evan Hansen' at @cygnettheatre because a few sentences on social media can't remotely encompass the awe, pride, and gratitude I feel for the company of artists who contributed to this project. Their immense talent, effort, generosity, and kindness are on full display in every performance, and I hope you'll go experience it if you haven't already. I'll be there for Industry Night next Monday, September 28, and tickets are only $25 if you call the box office. Words do indeed fail. #theatre #theater #sandiego #dearevanhansen
