Trigger Warning
These slides depict my lived experiences as well as posts from many creators across the internet. None of it is funny, but sometimes I think as creatives we laugh so we don’t cry.

Like my dad, who, no matter how much I plead, doesn’t seem to see me, so I make up progressively more unhinged and culturally relevant nicknames for myself; like the nasty ass honey badger because I was a nasty woman and I still like the good men out there and see their plights too even if I’ve been an ab*see a f*cking lot.

Like how my boyfriend bought me three kinds of my favorite food, so I grabbed my cat, called my mom, made up an excuse to my boyfriend about how my grandma needed me… then drove off with my cat, proceeded to have at least 5 panic attacks along the way, which caused me to stop at least 5 times, because I called my mom to interrupt her social activities and she drove my car to her house while her boyfriend followed and then they stayed up with me to watch Bridgerton, because what did I do to deserve people like this? Oh and those fun times when I ask my boyfriend if he’s taking me to kill me and hide my body 7/10 times when we’re just like driving to get groceries. 🥹😅😺

I try my best not to hold cultural biases, but some of them are imprinted so deeply into my experience that I’ll be spending a lifetime committing to cooling my own inner wars behind closed curtains and usually involving heavy, submissive prayer. Trauma is pretty metal that way. 🥹🤌🏻 *sighs*

Please give me time to properly tag and credit these.
