I’ve been trying to keep up with ProducerTrentTaylor since he dropped YOU OWE US WITH INTEREST with Fashawn. And since then the more I’ve heard and uncovered the more I’ve enjoyed his art. And on THIS IS OUR FELLOWSHIP, he’s linked with the MC Propaganda out of L.A.. bring some great messages along with sharp lyricism, I’m glad I didn’t miss this album!
.
Propaganda brings positivity and wants to uplift the listeners while still maintaining a strong Hip-Hop vibe throughout. Even street sounding on occasion, largely thanks to the great production from ProducerTrentTaylor. But outside of the sound direction, things fall on Propaganda who stepped up confidently to the plate as he should. He delivers on both content and lyricism here and he drives home ideas of positivity and progression. THIS IS IUR FELLOWSHIP is a track that’s half spoken word rhymes and half talking from Propaganda, as he explains why boys end up how they are vs girls while growing up. Which is only the tip of the iceberg.
.
GAS YOU UP is one of my favorites and a way I try to like to try to love. Propaganda doesn’t mean gas you up like lie, he means he’s trying to help keep your head up and celebrate the next man or woman. BURN IT DOWN with Fashawn brings a message to burn it all down as Propaganda spits “we wouldn’t have to fight for human rights if we had it”. I will say there is an element of god and Christianity here but it’s really only majorly prevalent as a topic for one, song I DIDN’T LEAVE YOU. Personally I’m not the most religious person, but I can respect what Propaganda believes and I appreciate that his messages aren’t particularly preaching religion, more so positivity like I’ve said.
.
This was my introduction to Propaganda and it was a great first impression. ProducerTrentTaylor continues to show out with his production and gave Propaganda a great soundscape to work across, as expected. I’ll for sure be trying to keep up with Propaganda moving forward and I’d for sure recommend this album!

Just let that beat play and tell me it isn’t a masterpiece. This is @prophiphop on the raps and @producertrenttaylor_ on the beat with none other than @dannythomasfunk from Con Funk Shun on the keys.

This is the final track on their new album, This is our Fellowship. The track is called “You Can’t Name a Day One” and it is really really good…. Don’t just hear me talk about it… go listen… and what about you… you still kick it with your day ones?

Like I told you. I was in Georgia just at the crib making loops and I saw a car in the driveway and I went to see who it was and it was @DannyThomasFunk of ConFunkShun. We talked a lil and I told him about the @PropHipHop project I was about to start and he told me let’s work and I thought he was playing. We’ve been making moves ever since. Our single “Gas You Up” is out on all streaming platforms and we got 2 more songs with the legend on the album dropping 04/10. We got other things brewing too but we will get into that later.
