x Jon Bregel Filmed at Selah Carefarm in Northern Arizona, A Sacred Pause takes us inside a sanctuary where people experiencing profound loss are met with compassion, connection, and the space to grieve without expectation. At its heart, the film is about learning to live alongside grief rather than trying to overcome it. As director Jon Bregel describes it, an invitation to feeling rather than fixing, witnessing rather than rushing, and recognizing that grief and love can exist together. The film received the Directors’ Choice Award for Best Documentary Short at the 2026 Sedona International Film Festival. One of the biggest shifts in AI filmmaking isn’t a new model. It’s the workflow. This Hot Wheels concept, directed by our own @dannyyourd, was an opportunity to explore what happens when AI is treated less like a generation tool and more like a creative collaborator. Created in partnership with @invideo.io using the new Agent One workflow, we started with a single hero frame, consistent character and vehicle references, a clear creative vision, and the story they wanted to tell. From there, the focus shifted away from prompting isolated shots and toward building a cohesive cinematic sequence. The result wasn’t just a faster process. It was a different one. Less time was spent rewriting prompts. More time was spent making creative decisions: refining pacing, designing camera language, shaping believable physics, and crafting emotional moments that connected one shot naturally to the next. The film may feature a toy car, but the goal was never simply to animate one. It was to recreate the feeling every kid remembers. When a bedroom became a movie set and a Hot Wheels jump felt larger than life. As AI models continue to improve, the competitive advantage won’t come from access to the latest technology. It will come from the workflows built around it. Workflows that allow creative teams to spend less time wrestling with tools and more time directing ideas. That’s the future Ritual Labs is building toward. Welcome to a new production state. Created with @invideo.io Agent One | @sunomusic | @adobe

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐚 𝐏𝐃𝐅 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞. 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞. Creative has always required a leap of faith. A script becomes a storyboard. A storyboard becomes a treatment. A treatment becomes a production. Now there’s a new step. Prototype the idea. See what works. Fix what doesn’t. Walk into the room with something people can actually experience instead of imagine. That’s where we believe AI is creating the most value. Not just making content faster, but making creative decisions smarter. What do you think @linkedin?

A short proof-of-concept we built exploring an idea for @converse. The story follows four suburban kids chasing something bigger than themselves. Not fame. Not followers. Not record deals. Just the first moment when a dream starts feeling real. The 30-second piece we're sharing is one moment from a larger brand film. Garage Days follows four suburban teenagers navigating friendship, ambition and the uncertainty of growing up. The band is simply the vehicle that carries them through it. The story stretches beyond rehearsals and garage shows into the messy, funny, hopeful, and sometimes painful moments that define adolescence long before anyone knows where life is headed. We chose Converse because no brand has ever belonged to this world more honestly. For over a century, Chucks have been worn by the kids in the garage, the basement, the back of the venue. It's the shoe you're wearing in the photo nobody thought to take...the one that turns out to matter most. We've always loved the idea that the most important chapter in a creative journey isn't success, it's the beginning. Garage Days lives in that space. So does Converse. A love letter to suburbia, garage bands, DIY culture, creativity, and the awkward, hopeful years when you're building something nobody believes in yet. Made for the brand that has always laced up for exactly those years. Including a few lockups and frames from the larger world are included below.

@sportiqe = comfiest hoodie. So comfortable three guys wore the same one for days instead of just buying their own. Turning into a very serious test of friendship. Made with @higgsfield.ai, but built like a real commercial. Grounded performances, locked characters, subtle physical comedy, and an absurd premise treated completely seriously. The goal wasn’t “AI visuals.” The goal was cinematic language and believable human behavior inside something ridiculous. @ritual_labs @summithousefamily

We made a short film called CHANGES about an advertising call. Using AI. Which means this post will probably get notes. The entire piece was built with emerging AI tools and then directed like a traditional scene. But the real idea behind it is simple: What if production could keep up with the way ideas actually evolve? Anyone who’s been on a creative call knows the moment. Someone says, “Just one more thing…” And the room shifts. In the old model, that moment meant friction. New timelines. New costs. New limitations. With new tools, that moment can become momentum. Because the instinct to refine, tweak, and explore is part of the process. Technology evolves. The meeting still does too. Enjoy the call. Welcome to @ritual_labs

What if you could watch the pitch before you buy the production? That’s one of the ways we use Ritual Labs. For an active brand pitch in the energy space, we built a cinematic pre-viz system to bring the world, tone, and narrative tension to life before cameras ever roll. Because the future of production is being able to see the idea before you have to bet on it.

We made a short film about brushing your teeth for our friends at @getmouthology. If you have kids, you know is less of a routine and more of a nightly variety show. There’s singing. There’s negotiating. There’s toothpaste where toothpaste should never be. The idea behind this piece was simple: brushing your teeth isn’t a sterile, perfect commercial moment. It’s chaos. It’s music. It’s kids pretending their toothbrush is a microphone. It’s parents wondering how a two-minute task somehow takes twelve. So we made the toothpaste the narrator. A tiny pop-punk witness to the beautiful mess of family life. This was also an experiment in building a film with emerging AI production tools while still directing it like a real scene. Chasing human moments, imperfections, and the stuff that makes family life feel real. Because honestly…the mess is kind of the point.

@dannyyourd has spent his entire career in film and advertising. Making images. Obsessing over craft. Arguing about lenses. Pretending a 1% color shift matters (it does!). To him, AI is intimidating but also something to be experimented with and to understand. Because after a career spent in storytelling he feels a responsibility to lean in. He’s ready to discuss all that and more at Outlook 2026 - AI: Somewhere Between Hype & Panic. Follow the link in our bio to the upcoming events tab to learn more and register!

We’ve spent the last couple years building work we’re deeply proud of. Projects that stretched us, collaborators who inspired us, and stories that reminded us why we do what we do. Today, we’re excited to share our new two-minute sizzle reel: a look at the moments, people, and partnerships that shaped Ritual this past year. At Ritual, story is more than a deliverable. It’s the grammar of how we see the world, the way we make sense of who we are and imagine what’s possible. This reel is a small reflection of that belief: that story can expand us, move us, and, if we’re lucky, connect us. Thanks to every client, director, crew member and friend who helped make this work real. Story isn’t just told. Story is a Ritual.
