A great day at @doningtonpark yesterday with @rma_trackdays experiencing all 4 seasons in one day, started off wetter than wet, eventually by the end of the day had some completely dry running. It was also our first day of some actual coaching by @tomgriffithsracing making us wonder why we hadn't done it before as we both learnt far more than we ever imagined we would. Next race - 18th October with the @750motorclub for the last race of the season in the Club Enduro championship.

🏁 A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO DANST! 🏁

After weeks of headaches, wiring problems and trying to get the Focus running, we finally made it to DanST today for a full setup and dyno session! 🔧

It wasn’t all plain sailing, though! We ran into problems with the fuel pressure, which meant taking the tank off and stripping everything down. Thankfully, with Dan’s help and the lads at DanST, we managed to get it all back together and get the car on the dyno! 👏

The result? 180 BHP! 🔥

More importantly, the car is finally running properly, the misfire seems to have gone, and the digital dash is working!

We’ve still got a few little jobs to finish, including setting up the pressure sensor graphs and warning lights, but we’re finally getting somewhere.

A massive thank you to Dan and all the lads at DanST for their help, patience and hard work today. They could easily have called it a day when things went wrong, but instead, they helped us get everything sorted so we could get the car mapped.

Really appreciate everything you’ve done for us! 🙌

Next stop… OULTON PARK IN NOVEMBER! 🏎️💨

Snetterton Club Enduro @750motorclub

Qualy - Tom up first, after an outlap, 1 fast lap and an in lap handed over to Mike in P2 but with everyone improving as the session went on. Mike went out in a broken-up session after a red flag followed by a restart for 10mins. Mike set a scorcher to get within only 0.4 secs of Pole at the end of a very competitive session, P4 in class but within range of the front runners and a lap time faster than we’d expected.

Race - Tom managed to stick with the #41 Ginetta from the start, the cars having strengths at differing parts of the track it was hard work trying to stay in touch for a slipstream down the long straights. An off-track excursion for the #41 Ginetta at the last corner allowed Tom to nip ahead and up to P3 for a few laps before dropping down to P4 and clinging onto the rear bumper of the Ginetta again, momentarily taking P3 under braking into Agostini but losing out in the drag race to the next corner. A safety car period took us to the half-way point in P4, bunching up the pack before handing over to Mike ready to fight for a podium.
Refuelled and Mike strapped into the car within the minimum pit-stop time, we weren’t able to reset the tyre pressures which we think crept up, overheating the tyres and inducing understeer we didn’t have during qualifying.
Mike settled into his stint and after the pit stop phase sat in P3 ahead of the #41 Ginetta, managing the traffic and the gap back to P4 superbly. The leading #24 BMW was given a stop-go penalty for a safety car infringement which moved us up to P2 before a further safety car bunched the pack back up. Mike then sat P2 with a very quick #24 BMW behind and a handful of minutes remaining of the race. However, the battle was cut short after the restart as the BMW was involved in a tangle with another car which brought out the red flag. With the red flag ending the race, the result winds back to the previously completed lap with the BMW 2secs behind us and we had a 5secs penalty for exceeding track limits (our first penalty in 11 races), end result P3... another podium!!!

So we had @joe__rackley @that_ruined_mexico in with us end of last year for some SzantoSport love and attention after a little engine bay fire due to old Weber’s! So they got binned and ordered some nice new @danstengineering 45mm throttle bodies, manifold ,linkage kit and fuel rail 👌🏻 as you do when tidying these Old Ford’s up you find a few bits of rust so all these was addressed using @magnumclassicpanels and waving the trusted old @rtechwelding gun at her sorting these little bits out! Off to paint and then back for final fit up and off to the rollers 👌🏻 and we must say we are very happy with the end result 😎😎 Have the best day guys! And feel free to get in touch for any works.

Great weekend of training! 💪

We ran two solid sessions—a Kudo technical class with sparring, followed by a Jiu Jitsu open mat. Awesome energy throughout and a brilliant group of people on the mats.
