This Saturday marks a 40 year and two month journey of visiting all 30 Major League Ballparks. Youth wasted on the Young, as my first game was an Old Timers Yankee game in 1986, and all I cared about was my paper box of popcorn, and an ice cream cup. Grateful for all friends and family along the journey, but most importantly, raising my sons amongst a beautiful diverse society, void of the divisive bullshit some of their teachers tried to push in elementary school. On to Europe next year to honor my Grandfather at Normandy Beach in France. Bucket List complete along with 50 states complete. Dominic Pace

Archer: a love story. To the house I never really moved out of. To the people in my life here to stay.

And that's a wrap on the 2026 Western Regional Bioethics Bowl! 🐌

6 dedicated students gave all of Winter quarter and the start of Spring quarter to form bioethical frameworks for 14 real life cases. On April 11th, 2026, the UCSC Bioethics Bowl Team competed against UC Davis, Cal Poly SLO, Arizona State University, and SJSU. Coming just short of a win, the team represented our school with synergy, competitive spirit, and light hearts.

The Bioethics Club hopes to continue competing through the years, creating opportunities for students to engage in science policy, medical framework, and the human condition.

Last week, we were thrilled to welcome back Geffen Academy alum Dante Pace (‘23)! 🐻✨ Currently studying Bioengineering at UC Santa Cruz, Dante took time to visit our engineering classes and share his journey — from his days at Geffen to life as a college student.
Our students were excited to hear his insights and experiences, and we’re so proud to see him thriving in STEM.
Once a Bruin, always a Bruin! 💙💛 #GeffenAcademy #AlumniVisit #BruinPride #Bioengineering #UCSC
