I had another coaching session today with @dantediy. Loved the off ice today! It was so good! …AND I landed my double flip twice on the run, as well as my other doubles! I met a really nice girl on the ice today too, I didn’t get her name but she was so lovely and gave me a hug when I fell on my double flip 😌🫶 #figureskating #figureskatinglife #iceskating #iceskater #planeticewidnes

Adult Figure Skating International - Oberstdorf ⛸️

This was such an amazing competition!

2 Programmes ✅
2 Personal Bests ✅
Clean skated routines ✅
Top 10 Gold Women Free I ✅
Top 10 Masters Women Artistic 1 ✅

The happiest I’ve been on the ice ✅
The most fun ✅
Performed under pressure of representing Great Britain ✅

The list goes on and on for what I have achieved from this competition and how grateful I am for being able to compete at this level after just one year back in the ice.

Safe to say this is just the start!!

@dantediy has been the best coach prepping me for this competition - believing in my ability more than I ever did. Even putting up with my ‘I want to get off the ice tantrums 😂’ thank you for being the most supportive coach and I’m looking forward to next season already!

Huge thank you to my amazing husband - pretty much responsible for everything this weekend - chauffeur, coach, personal photographer, wellness coach, dietician, manager and of course the person who believed in me the most to persuade me to get back on the ice a year ago! @coachcraigwright I am so grateful for you and love you always 🫶🏻

The last 5 days have been a whirlwind of new experiences and you can prepare for a spam of posts but for now just settled on the fact that I represented GB Internationally and skated my heart out ☺️

Onto the next one because we ain’t done yet!

Skate London 2025 ⛸️

Second competition in less than 6 months after 15 years off the ice and I’m absolutely loving being back.
Competing straight back in at the level I left off (all beit a couple of jumps still in the works) and still wanting to get even better!

This skate was a big one for me to show off my progress :
- PB Score
- Axel landed (finally!)
- combination spin counted ✅
- 10th place - no last place finish for the oldest in the category 😂

And I know there’s still more to come on my next skate. 🥰

Big thank you to @dantediy for being the coach I needed! For believing in me, getting me comp ready at short notice and pushing me to achieve more. Not just allowing me to sideline myself as an adult skater - for that I am truly grateful.

Also should mention this all wouldn’t happen without my husband’s words ‘go back and do it now before you look back at 50 and regret not doing it.’ @coachcraigwright supporting me all the way and being the one that convinced me to go back in the first place, to do something for myself. I have finally found life outside the box and I’m so thankful for Craig getting me to see that 🫶🏻

Already planning 2026 competition and excited for the opportunities it will bring.
It’s true …. Once an ice skater, always an ice skater.

Onto the next one ☺️
