It’s been 9 years since I played at @extrema.be when @feestgedruis_ofc was still making history. Now the festival stands even stronger with its 15th anniversary! 🥳

This weekend we dance again. Join me for a 3h sunset closing set, 18:00—21:00 at District Zen stage (in the woods)

Not from struggle, but from deep desire.
To live with clarity, intention and inner alignment.
To walk through life awake. With purpose.

Calling in men ready to take an honest look at their lives.
Who want to make decisions from action, not reaction.
Who want to leave something meaningful behind.

Taking leadership.

It’s how you choose.
It’s how you act.
It’s how you live.

Here are four truths that guide me on my journey:

🔅 When I grow from the inside, the outside follows.
🔅 Shame loses its grip the moment it’s given space.
🔅 Every plan without truth is just plain noise.
🔅 Being in alignment starts by fully standing with myself.

These are not lessons but a call to action. To commit to yourself first. Even when it’s hard.

⊙

I’m honoured to host this upcoming Men’s Gathering on Wednesday, June 11 at @place.d.amis, in Antwerp, together with my brother @jorisvandoorslaer.

Joris has been building something meaningful with www.mannennetwerk.org lately, including a national research project into the role of men’s circles. Worth checking out.

Our gathering is for men who want to show up, connect and lead from the inside out.

⊙

We’re already 70% full.

Your next chapter is waiting. Will you walk toward it?

So much has been evolving over the past few months, including taking time to realign this beautiful space.
Just as the seasons shift and a new energetic year unfolds, this community was ready for some fresh tune-ups.

Thankful for yesterday, today and tomorrow.
Beloved ones, welcome to Monadi.

Hello brother,

Do you ever feel like something inside is calling for your attention, but you keep pushing it aside with work, screens or staying busy?

The world moves fast and it’s so easy to lose ourselves in it. But those feelings don’t disappear. They wait for a moment of silence to resurface. What if, instead of escaping, you gave yourself the space to truly listen?

In many native traditions, one steps into the wild to find insight, facing themself without distraction. This idea is the foundation for a Men’s Medicine Walk.

Last Summer, I did exactly that.

Days alone on a mountain during a vision quest. No distractions, no food, no water. The forest reflected back what I needed to see. Through deepening with other rituals like the sweat lodge, that which no longer serves me started to strip away.

A medicine walk offers a similar route in a short format, where intention and nature become your guide.

Give yourself permission to slow down. To step outside. And return to what’s present.

Anger often feels like an obstacle we have to carry, but what if it’s an entry point to deep healing.

In my experience, releasing anger in a safe and intentional way opened up space for something deeper. Sadness, grief and ultimately, peace. Recently, it shifted everything for me, when sharing this process in the moment itself with my partner.

Vulnerability in these raw states isn’t weakness; it’s strength. It creates trust, while showing us and those we love that we are human.

I’m grateful in moments like these to have allowed myself to fully release and heal.

On the morning of my 40th birthday, I found this pinecone right in front of me during a ‘medicine walk’—an unexpected gift from nature.

As I held it in my hands, I felt a deep connection to its symbolism: the protection and nurturing of seed, the reminder of life’s cycles and the activation of higher consciousness.

Nature will make the pinecone open up and spread its seeds once it dries out.

Since I wanted to keep this one closed, I placed the pinecone in a glass of water for 15 minutes every other day. I let it then soak out on a paper cloth. Afterwards I painted colourless varnish on it, which prevents it from opening up (and spreading its seed).

—

A message to my fellow men:

On the topic of ‘spreading seed’, yesterday I ended a 50-day semen retention practice.

It focuses on consciously avoiding ejaculation to conserve sexual energy, whilst not refraining from intimacy. On the contrary. It’s a huge benefit when you want to increase mental clarity, boost creative, physical energy and strengthen the bond between you and your partner.

In stillness we equally hold the chaos and the flow of life.

The future doesn’t exist. Everything unfolds before/behind our eyes. It’s the being at peace and accepting ourselves fully—as we are right now—that continues to be the neverending challenge.

I took a moment here to attune to the space of @place.d.amis where we’ll be hosting our Men’s Gathering next week, on Saturday, December 7th. There are some spaces left, should you feel the call.

A conversation (in Dutch) with brothers Joris and Stijn, about men’s work, what it is, why it matters and some challenges this work is currently facing:

1. Isolation vs collaboration
2. Lack of emotional role modeling
3. Men and vulnerability

If some of this resonates or even triggers you, come and experience it for yourself!

Next up:

Men’s Gathering, Saturday 7/12 from 3—7pm, Antwerp.

If men everywhere would gather with attuned presence and open hearts, the world’s problems would disappear.

The effect of gathering as men is only to be felt when experienced for yourself. As a group we go beyond the sum of our individual selves. Together we turn this into a celebration. And when it’s done from the core, it fires us up collectively.

Men meeting up are already powerful. Yet this event is so much more.
