On Wednesday, June 10th, I watched the fourth game of the NBA finals where the New York Knicks played against the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden. I’ve watched the previous games at home but learned about a watch party happening at @sparrowfunerals via @offbeatorbit’s viral video post. Once RSVPs opened up, I signed up to attend because I knew it would be a lot more fun then watching at home. Sharing a few photos here and there’s more, including a write up of the night on my website (link in profile). Many thanks to @sparrowfunerals and their staff for hosting the party and making it such a memorable night.

The June dispatch is here, and there's more going on than I could fit. Go on a cemetery tour. Grieve dead parents. Take part in breathwork, collage, and lots of conversation. There's places to go and people to meet. Some of the organizers/projects/people making their NYCDD debuts: @newyorkzencenter @alixstrauss @workerscircle @loftypigeonbooks @ruhanicafe @cap.therapy @griefonthestreets @thewoodlawncemetery Link in bio. We invite you to “Tea & Mortality,” a casual gathering to talk about death, life, and everything in between, over tea and treats at @neighbor.nyc on June 16. 🫖 @daphnemacnyc , a local end-of-life doula, will facilitate our conversation. There’s no agenda and no pressure; this is not a grief support or bereavement group. All are welcome! All you need to bring is openness, curiosity, and a desire to share, listen, and connect around our common mortality. Details and RSVP in our profile link ⬆️

4.1.2026....I had the pleasure of supporting my friend @daphnemacnyc in presenting her Grief Box Project. Who knew that playing The Death Deck card game would draw such interest? We contemplated our own deaths and had a few laughs reflecting on all types of questions! #deathdoula #deatheducation

. VIBING VAJRASATTVA Winter Weekend Retreat With Chris Dingman Doc Kelley Daphne McWilliams Guest lecturer Lama Mike Crowley February 6th - 8th (near NYC) FREE ONLINE INFORMATION SESSION Sunday, December 4th 6:00 pm EST Link in bio Join us for this free online information session where we will unpack the program and answer all your questions. PROGRAM BELOW Live vibraphone by Chris Dingman. With guided meditation and support from Doc Kelley and Doula Daphne McWilliams. Guest lectures by Lama Mike Crowley. Vibing Vajrasattva is a sonic-based psychedelic approach to Buddhist sādhanā practice that features a four-week incubation period of mostly autonomous practice, culminating in an in-person group weekend retreat, followed by online integration. These three phases — 1) incubation, 2) invocation, and 3) integration — which we’ve dubbed our “Third Eye Approach” are inspired by the Vajrayāna Buddhist Mahāsiddha model in ancient India and Tibet. The Mahāsiddha practitioners, a largely autonomous group of social misfits, were remarkable for their diversity of composition (coming from all walks of life and occupations) and for their tradition of periodically gathering as a sangha to hold space for the Tantric Feast (Skt. gaṇacakra Tib. tsok), a sensory-rich community engagement with the sādhanā believed to have included amṛta; possibly a psychoactive elixir used in sacraments on a large scale in the Buddhist world during the Middle Ages. Our Third Eye Approach is also an evolution of Timothy Leary’s psychedelic protocol of “set and setting,” wherein the “set” includes the 4-week incubation phase in which the practitioner fosters a deep and personal connection with the practice in preparation for the more conventional “set and setting” on the day of the Tantric Feast (or weekend retreat). This program is not intended to substitute the traditional Buddhist preliminary (ngöndro) practice of reciting 100,000 Vajrasattva mantras. There is no empowerment or refuge ceremony for this program, which is open to both Buddhists and non-Buddhists. Learn more www.PsychedelicSangha.org Image made for Psychedelic Sangha by @arikroper
