Just a spoiled Cat living my best life.🤍🐾 My mom @shes_got_an_old_soul ✨

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

They may only be a chapter in our story, but to them, we are their whole story. Their whole world. And when that chapter comes to an end, the house feels a little quieter, the days a little lonelier, and our hearts carry an ache that’s hard to put into words.

Losing a beloved pet is never easy. They leave pawprints in places we never knew could hurt, and memories that stay with us long after they’re gone.

Jennifer Marshall Bleakley has put together a beautiful book for those times when we need a little comfort and a reminder that love doesn’t end when we have to say goodbye. “Thank You for Loving Me” has just been released, and it’s a book none of us ever hopes we’ll need—but one that may bring a little light to someone walking through the heartbreak of losing a faithful companion.

And today, I’d ask y’all to keep Jennifer & her family in your prayers, too. Her beloved writing companion, Gracie, recently passed away. Gracie wasn’t just a dog who sat beside her while she wrote—she was a treasured part of their life and the heart behind so many of those words.

Here in Appalachia, we understand that some of the deepest loves in this life have four paws. They sit beside us on the porch, follow us through the house, wait for us at the door, and somehow become woven into the very fabric of home.

So tonight, hug your critters a little tighter. Scratch those ears. Give them an extra treat. And be thankful for every precious day you’re given together.

Because sometimes, the smallest pawprints leave the biggest marks on our hearts. 🐾❤️

Please suggest this book for your local libraries, vets offices.

Coming September 2, 2025!

What will happen when a tropical escape from holiday blues turns into a snowy wonderland filled with joy and cheer?

Carol Langstrom hates Christmas. So this year her goal is to flee to the Bahamas—by herself—bah humbug! But bad weather and God’s radically different plan redirect her flight to blustery Michigan, where she gets stuck on her aunt’s farm and discovers a different kind of Christmas—one wrapped in love, family, and holiday spirit.

Melody Carlson’s Christmas novella delivers all the charm of a holiday Hallmark movie, is rooted in Christian faith, woven with sweet romance, and features A Christmas Carol themes.
