The serpent has risen!
Dimmu Borgir are back with Grand Serpent Rising, and damn, they still know how to create an atmosphere! Dark, aggressive, majestic and packed with that unmistakable Dimmu Borgir sound. This is exactly why symphonic black metal can be so powerful when it’s done right. But here’s the real question. Can Grand Serpent Rising stand alongside classics like Death Cult Armageddon and Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia?

What’s your honest opinion on the album?

I thank them for their kindness. 🙏
I didn’t take any photos with them because I didn’t want to bother them any further. They were heading off to do their soundcheck, so they were naturally in quite a rush.

Behemoth and Dimmu Borgir have joined forces. Currently on a European Tour, they encore with a cover of Venom’s “In League with Satan.”
Here’s a Reel Edit I made.

Nergal and Shagrath are two of the best Vocalists.

Dimmu Borgir - 22.10.2026 Hamburg
🔥🔥🔥
One of my favorite band!!!
Yes, I am grateful that I was so close to Shagrath this time 😁 And I‘m more grateful that we will fly to Oslo next week because of Dimmu Borgir. That will be an awesome trip 🤩

TWO BLACK METAL TITANS ON ONE STAGE AND NERGAL WITHOUT THE PAINT IS ABSOLUTE MAYHEM! 🖤
Still ringing in my ears from this one 🤯 Walked into MainStage Den Bosch expecting only a heavy set from Dimmu Borgir, but nobody saw this guest spot coming.
Seeing Nergal, who just finished his gig with Behemoth, step up to the mic stripped of his usual Behemoth corpse paint, standing side-by-side with Silenoz and Shagrath... you could literally feel the floor shift under the crowd 🔥
Easily one of the most legendary live collabs we’ve witnessed on Dutch soil in years 🎤🔥
THIS IS PROOF BLACK METAL STILL OWNS THE UNDERGROUND REVOLUTION 😈
