Still on the creative process behind the performance video of “Èrò”from my inaugural project, “Lágijù”. Indeed, the excellence of men is but a glimpse to the greatness of God.

It’s the last slide for me though 😆

🎶 Èrò – a song about the journey, the isolation, and the resilience of those who leave their homeland in search of a better life. This track from my 5-track EP Lágijù (In the Wilderness) speaks to the emotional and physical battles faced by many Africans in foreign lands. Far from family, in the cold of the unknown, they endure, hoping for brighter days. 🌍

With the fusion of core African folk and Western pop, Èrò is more than music—it’s the voice of our people, a reflection of our struggle and our strength. More importantly, it is a love letter to the people back at home. Every note carries the weight of leaving everything behind and the hope for a better tomorrow. I’m grateful to the amazing Uppa Ruum Studios’ team through the facilitation of my friend-turn-brother @olatomiwatobi for capturing this vision at the Portrait Lounge, where the story truly comes alive. 🎥🔥

Thank you for joining me on this journey. I appeal to our people in the diaspora to use this song to share their feelings on how they miss home. Watch the full video and listen to the Lágijù EP using the links in my bio.

Earlier this year, we journeyed to Edo State with UNICEF to capture the impactful story of EdoBEST, and it was truly heartwarming to witness see the joy on the students’ faces as they now genuinely enjoy studying and the newfound enthusiasm from teachers make this program something truly special. 🌟 Education is a powerful force for positive change, and it’s inspiring to see how EdoBEST is making a difference. 🙌💙
Kudos to the team members of UppaRuum for pulling this off
