Our heartfelt gratitude to Gyanoday Niketan for encouraging and inspiring their students to participate in “The Great Moo-tiny”, a meaningful play raising awareness about animal farming and agriculture. We are equally thankful for generously providing the time and space for rehearsals and supporting this wonderful initiative. ❤️

A very special thank you to Adarsh Thami, writer, director and founder of Starling (Stars of Darjeeling), whose daily journeys to Gyanoday, tireless dedication, patience and guidance brought this beautiful performance to life in such a short time. We couldn't have done it without you! 🐾

A big thank you to Pothead for putting so much creativity, thought and effort into making the wonderful animal masks. Each mask added its own charm to the characters and made the performance even more lively and memorable. We truly appreciate the love and care that went into bringing these creations to life! 🎭🐮❤️

“The Great Moo-tiny” was performed at the World Animal Day Fest on 4th October 2026 at Chowrasta, Darjeeling, organised by Wooffers and Starling (Stars of Darjeeling) in collaboration with Vaani Collective, Darjeeling Goodwill Centre, Weekend Edit, Studio Ohana and Pothead.

A beautiful reminder that when young voices, creativity and compassion come together for a cause, they have the power to inspire awareness, kindness and meaningful change. 🌿🐮❤️

THANK YOU. 🐾❤️

To every person who joined us, performed, spoke, collaborated, volunteered, supported, and simply showed up with compassion—YOU made the World Animal Day Fest truly meaningful.

What began as a celebration became a beautiful reminder of what is possible when a community comes together with kindness—every life matters, and every voice deserves to be heard, even the ones without words.

For them. With love. Always. 🐾🌿❤️

‘तिरस्कार’ by Namita Sharma is a touching reminder that our actions have consequences—and that compassion begins with reflecting on our own choices and striving to do better. ❤️

The poem was presented at the World Animal Day Fest at Chowrasta, Darjeeling, organised by Wooffers and Starling (Stars of Darjeeling) in collaboration with Vaani Collective, Darjeeling Goodwill Centre, Weekend Edit, Studio Ohana, and Pothead.

A heartfelt applause to Adarsh Thami—the incredible Papa Pig, writer and director of The Plate, and founder of Starling (Stars of Darjeeling)—for creating such a deeply touching and awakening silent play. Without a single word, The Plate speaks volumes about love, loss, compassion, and the lives we so often choose not to see.

Immense appreciation to Sabin Thami, who brilliantly brought Baby Pig to life with such innocence, vulnerability, and emotion. His performance made those final moments truly heartbreaking.

And appreciation to Minol Pradhan, who portrayed the Human—a role that brought the painful contrast at the heart of the story to life and made us confront what we so often accept without a second thought.

The Plate was presented at the World Animal Day Fest at Chowrasta, Darjeeling, on 4 October 2026, organised by Wooffers and Starling (Stars of Darjeeling) in collaboration with Vaani Collective, Darjeeling Goodwill Centre, Weekend Edit, Studio Ohana, and Pothead.

A play with no spoken words, yet a message impossible not to hear.

Sometimes, silence delivers the loudest message. ❤️
