During my recent #adventure and #culture visit to #kashmir Rahul from @western lmountains and self visited @saggecovillage in #ganderbal district.
No experience is complete without knowing the people who work hard to educate people on #sustainability #ecology and it’s vital role in our lives.
It is easy to loose sight of #longterm in this #hurried and almost #unforgiving race of life.
This wonderful and absolutely dedicated couple Fayaz Ahmed and Lubna have created this hidden gem .
If you visit kashmir or live in kashmir do visit them.
Give your children an opportunity to visit an #organicfarm #mudhouses and enjoy clean and tasty meal cooked by loving hands.
They also have many programs for children, corporates, home schoolers and young people .
We are in love with the place and the people. 💟

A small village in Tulail valley, the most remote part of Kashmir. It almost acts as a valley that divides the two nations. The people have such heart felt, heavy stories but still continue to be true to their soil and carry on with their lives as usual. Most of them are farmers and raise cattle, a lot of the men here also make a living by working with the Indian army by providing necessary supplies.

Tourists are only allowed with permits and hospitality of the people here is second to none. Although there is no stable electricity and other city comforts, the hot tea and unlimited conversations make for a great experience.

As touristy as it may seem, the boathouse and shikara ride in Kashmir is an experience you should really have ♥️

Spanning a distance of 15kms, the Dal Lake has been home to many generations of Kashmiris. Apart from tourism & leisure purposes, the shikaras are used for seaweed harvesting, fishing & transportation by the locals. The tranquility of an early morning ride will surely leave you in a state of pure bliss 🛶🌅
