POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

#tbt I wanted to post this gorgeous photo from the automatic drawing ritual at @darknessvisible_ last year, taken by the brilliant and talented @benas_bar ❤️‍🔥

It was an incredible ritual, that involved channeling, @ronathey_4 speaking in tongues, and many other mysteries. I found myself transported to a completely other place. This is where I first started channeling Ariadne, which segued into my ARIADNE performance the next evening.

@jjiijijiijj has made an INCREDIBLE documentary about this and other experiences at the Darkness Visible II workshop - please check out @darknessvisible_’s IG to check out some sneak peaks!

And if you are thinking of applying for DV III in 2027, DO IT! It profoundly changed my life. I mean, I am literally back in Athens right now meeting up with friends whom I made during that workshop. What a blessing!

A Light in the Darkness,
Halo ✨🌙✨

☀️ Athens, 2023 @darknessvisible_ with @fibieyewalker // we created a piece to usher the sun into the cave [an excerpt from a prospective, much larger piece] - after a week of worship and devotion for our sun (daily offerings, prayer) on the night of action we donned our clay cave heads and walked together - backwards - completely blind - 80 feet+ with only a rope to guide our path through a crowd, across obstacles. Relying on our trust that we are aligned plus @angertv beating a drum to let us know all is safe (or lack thereof to let us know to stop), we navigated the vast space and down a set of stairs into the cave with our sun. The obstacles and challenges of building such a “simple” movement were baffling. The trust, the practice (swipe over to see a rehearsal video, eyes shut), then afterwards the unexpected theft of our ceremonial robes that have been worn in so many super charged @the.no.ring.circus performances and by almost every company member - and finally the recovery of them against all odds (thank you @bert_gilbert_official for being the “let’s go” I needed in my moment of despair and being the guiding light to recover them in the pit). It was an entirely vulnerable descent and one of the most terrifying things I’ve ever done, which surprised even me. Solidifying once again that with Fibi and Eli and myself things normally outside the realm of trust are suddenly possible ☀️

If you like a @the.no.ring.circus deep cut, one of the plates on the sword hilts from this piece now graces the hilt of the glowing crucifix sword we made for Fibi to use in Sancta (see her main photo) 💛

Thank you to papa @ronathey_4 for having us and everyone involved in that sacred place/experience.

On this Trans Day of Visibility 2026, I say:

Thank you to the trans, intersex, genderqueer, and non-binary people in my life — who made space for both my genderqueerness and my intersex experience, who loved me for being a queer femme, who fully welcomed me with open & loving hearts, insisting, steadfast, that I belonged. (Side note: The “binary” trans people in my life have been some of the MOST supportive of my weird-ass non-binary genderqueer self-configuration! Do with that what you will, friends! BORDERS ARE BULLSHIT!)

When the outside cisheteropatriarchal world reads me as a straight cis woman — both a deep aggravation *and* an incredible privilege I cannot overlook — it no longer cuts very sharp. I don’t really need All of Me to be legible to them. Because I know that even if they don’t see me? The trans people I love do.

So. Here are some images of myself, family, friends, sweethearts, and artistic collaborators over the years, with an emphasis on FUN & JOY.

Image & Video Descriptions:
1. Gina goes glam! She wears a burgundy tube top crop top with black fishnet sleeves, a burgundy cage bra, and her late nonna’s crystal beaded necklace. Her hair is curly & voluminous & streaked with purple.
2. Gina & Joshua & @jordonaut all hug on Elgin Park. Deep decades-long friendships forged in the fire of 90s San Francisco queer youth activism!
3. Gina & her Seattle sweetheart Katherine circa 2022 (I think?).
4. Rachel, Gina’s other Seattle sweetheart & Katherine’s partner, looking devastatingly dashing in a hotel lobby, like Sylvia Scarlett stole Oscar Wilde’s best suit. Katherine is in the background in Professor Attire.
5. A very funny Lex ad that someone else wrote but that is *hilariously* reminiscent of Gina & Tobi’s ENTIRE Vibe as a couple. 🤣
6. A hilarious friendship inside joke comic by @jordonaut. Gina & Jordan laugh about Passover Chitlins (a fictional dish they made up, circa 2006).
7. Me & some of my writing students at Maxine Holloway’s wonderful WE’RE STILL WORKING show in 2017.

ID continues in comments!

Ruina Gabrieles (performance)

“And the angel Gabriel was sent of God, and he descended unto the earth to make manifest the judgment of the Most High unto the children of men. And he took form among them, and was seen as the most beautiful among men; yet his glory became a trial unto mankind, and he brought forth a word of sorrow and revelation upon the Earth.”

Developed in the workshop “Darkness Visible II” @darknessvisible_ by @ronathey_4 and @highersensestudio, with facilitators @federicadauri and @micheleoccelli.

Over the past few years, my performances have organically developed into more interactive experiences. Through clay, I’ve been learning to communicate with others, connecting in a tactile way and building trust through touch and transformation.

This journey has been a profound teacher, continuously revealing new layers and deepening my understanding of who I am and what lies at the heart of my practice.

Thank you to all of you who have fearlessly and honestly opened your hands to receive a piece of me throughout this ongoing journey of personal and collective exploration. It truly means the world to me.

This journey is a communal one, and I intend to continue opening up in this direction.

Filmed by @jjiijijiijj during the first chapter of my workshop at the most transcendental bootcamp I have ever experienced, @darknessvisible_ last October in Athens.

In October, I had the distinct honor of participating in this year’s Darkness Visible II in Athens, Greece. This shared experience with 40+ other incredible local and international artists and performers was so deeply profound, I still struggle putting it into words. We were all tasked to conceptualize, collaborate and create our own unique performanxe art pieces in this 10 day (9, i arrived a day late) bootcamp curated by icon @ronathey_4 + @highersensestudio, which featured daily workshops that helped guide us into connecting with deeper layers of our psyche, voice, body, creativity, and purpose - with facilitation by Ron Athey, Hermes Pittakos, @nikolaskasinos @micheleoccelli @federicadauri @studio.ouroboros @sophia.savagner @myrgon_ @yunuen_rhi @lola.upload and @wicksimmons respectively.

Random photos from this past year— El Salvador, Honduras, Cuba, Iceland and Czechia were the new places I visited with plenty of revisiting of old friends in other places. Ready to keep moving in many ways possible. I love the people I get to create with every week and I’m forever grateful for the dancers of @auf.he.ben

Wish I could be in 17 places at once.
