POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hi friends! Happy Wednesday!

Just an autumn themed spredge stack today. Sorry for all the low effort content this week. If you missed it, I'm traveling, but I'll catch up as soon as I can!

Do you get traveling anxiety at all? I didn't use to, but then I didn't use to have anxiety like this at all. 😅 It's been a bit of a beast but then slaying beasts is nothing us fantasy fiends aren't used to.

Or what are you currently reading and liking? I feel out of the loop!

OCTOBER! One of my favorite months!
Two birthdays in the family and it finally gets a little cooler. Unfortunately it’s been a very rainy October, just like the summer, but I’m hopping for beautiful weather for the end!

Thank you @hilarycopter @forged_mortal @readsbyrew @ovium_reads @boetbooks @philbert.readsandstuff @booksnbells @bella_bibliophile_bello @she_mums_she_reads @black_hobbit86 @manus.bookcorner @faeheavenstudio for the tag! What I love so much about this one is that I feel like I could’ve guessed which post belonged to which accounts based off pic alone! I also loved seeing our overlaps!

Books featured:
One Dark Window (romantasy)
Children of Fallen Gods (fantasy)
Throne of Glass (fantasy)
Of Blood and Fire (fantasy)
The Ballad of Falling Dragons (romantasy)
Empire of the Dawn (grimdark fantasy)
Rising Gale (grimdark fantasy)

I finished Blood on Her Tongue yesterday and am reading Hell Bent! What about you?

📚 SUNDAY SHELFIE 📚

I haven’t posted my shelves in a while, and they’re seriously getting full now. Could I fit more books on here? Sure. Will I? Most likely. But I still want a new set of shelves… but now I just have to decide if I’ll take the standard IKEA and customize, or if I’ll go for bespoke, like these ones. What do you think? 🤔

I love my shelves. 💚 They make my heart full. If I could live on them, I genuinely would.

🏷️ I know many of you already post Shelfies, but I’m tagging more of you to show off your favourite part of them! ☺️

Love,
Vamps 💚

📚 CONNECT FOUR 📚

I was tagged by the wonderful @bella_bibliophile_bello to do a Connect Four Challenge, which I’ve done before but is super fun so let’s do it again! Thank you my lovely! 💚

I decided to go for a “multiple copies” edition, showcasing the ONE book that survives my “no multiples” rule for my shelves. No matter the book, the edition or my love for it, I do not hold multiple copies of a book in my collection. Except Jane Eyre. I’m not really sure why this particular novel is exempt from the rule, other than it’s ones of my favourites of all time and means a great deal to me.

So what editions do I have?
📖 Penguin Classics, which is actually from my high school days. It still has all the annotations from when I wrote my final thesis on this book, comparing it to the likes of Stepford Wives, exploring feminism in early literature. I sound fancy don’t I?
📖 Kindle edition… this is actually my newest copy, because I need it everywhere I go in case I feel the urge to read a few chapters.
📖 Union Square & Co Signature Gilded Classics edition; I bought this when I was on holiday in Spain, because it was too pretty not to.
📖 @foliosociety because have you SEEN IT! Thank you to my friend @david.the.bookish for convincing me to buy this one. It’s absolutely my favourite.
📖 there is a fifth edition not shown, which is the Audible audio book; which you need to listen to because the narration is fantastic!

🏷️ tagging more of you, either for the connect four challenge or “multiple editions” challenge. Or both? Whatever speaks to you!

Love,
Vamps 💚

5 Books that Everyone Should Read…at least once…according to me (and I’m using my dogs to convince you). Thanks @booksandbasilisks for the tag ♥️

📚The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
📚Duma Key by Stephen King
📚The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood
📚Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
📚The Poet Empress by Shen Tao

These aren’t all my favorite books (The Poet Empress is tricky for me-if you saw my review you know), but that doesn’t mean they aren’t necessary and that I don’t adore them all for various reasons.
ALSO-don’t come for me; it’s called an opinion people. AND-did the dogs work?

⁉️Tell me your 5⁉️

📚 FRIDAY FIRE FLATLAY 📚 🔥

Another Friday Flatlay! It’s been a while since I made one of these, but I really felt like getting into the flatlays again. I know I’m known for my stacks, but I may give flatlays a bit more of a spotlight… who knows! 🤷‍♀️

For this edition, I tried to pick a theme. I went with Fire, and then realized I’d already done one with flames on the cover design. What I hadn’t done? Fire (or Flame) in the title.. so I went digging, and I came up pleasantly surprised by just how many books I actually have that match that criteria! 🔥 😍

🏷️ I really like how this one turned out! I’d love to see all of yours, so tagging more of you to join in! Bring on the Fire! 🔥 what titles do you have that I don’t? ❤️🧡💛🔥

Love,
Vamps 💚

Hi friends! Happy Thursday! A bit of a red and black stack, mostly red, sorta themed, but idk i like the photo? 🤭

I dont have much for a caption today. Woke up with a headache and would rather sit in the dark than work but here we are. Maybe this Tylenol will kick in.

So lets steal from @maysmanyreads and do a this or that fall edition.

Apple spice or Pumpkin spice?
Zombie or skeleton?
Pumpkins or ornamental corn?
Vampires or werewolves?
Cemetery or haunted house?
Chili or soup?

📚 INDIE STACK: PART TWO 📚

Well, apparently my indie collection is considerably bigger than I thought it was. 😍💚

After my last Indie Stack, I decided to do a little more digging through my shelves, and discovered that I owned far more independently published books than I’d realised. So naturally, I pulled them all out, did some research, and somehow ended up with TWO STACKS. It tracks.

One for books that started indie and have stayed indie, and another for books that were originally self-published but have since been picked up by traditional publishers. And I still own their original indie editions!

And apparently I’ve been supporting indie authors far more than I ever gave myself credit for! 🥹 but I still need more, so drop your recs in the comments so I can go shopping…🙏

What’s your favourite indie book?
🏷️ tagging more of you to show off your indie stacks!

Vamps 💚

🎃👻 Who are your book boos? 👻 🎃@latina.with.no.shelf.control tagged me in this challenge and I thought it was so cute! 🥰 I figured it was only appropriate to jump in and to share a little stack of my favorite fictional MMCs!

Here’s my lineup:

✨ Gray from Broken Dove
✨ Rhysand from ACOTAR
✨ Ryder from Dark Fae
✨ Darius from Zodiac Academy
✨ Jamie from Outlander
✨ Cross from Silver Elite
✨ Gus from Lonesome Dove
✨ Kelsier from Mistborn

Clearly, my taste in fictional men is all over the place. 😂 tagging a few of you to jump in, but as always, no pressure!
