The past two weeks, brothers of the Eta Zeta chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated have been spending their Tuesday afternoons volunteering at the Oxford animal resource center! Brothers spent time, cleaning out the service vehicles, cleaning the inside of the building, and playing with animals. Thank you to @oxfordarc for the opportunity!

Huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our "Be the Friend Who Checks In" Suicide Prevention Month tabling. 💜🩵

At our tabling, we encouraged students to reach out and check in on someone they may not talk to often because you never know what someone might be going through. Even something as simple as letting someone know you’re thinking about them and that you love them can make a difference. We hope you continue to check in on your friends even after this month ends and make it a practice to be the friend who checks in!
And remember, checking in doesn’t only apply to your friends. Take a moment to check in with yourself, too.

If you or someone you know is struggling with your mental health, experiencing suicidal thoughts, or going through a difficult time, you don’t have to face it alone. Resources are available below.

Saturday morning, the brothers of the Eta Zeta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated volunteered at the "Bunks Across America bed build with Lowe's!"

Sponsored by @loweshomeimprovement and @shpoxford , we helped build 68 beds in 3 hours! We are grateful to have played a part in making SHP's mission "No kid sleeps on the floor in our town" a reality! Special thank you to @anfoxford for the opportunity.

Yesterday, the Brothers of the Eta Zeta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated volunteered at the Mississippi State Veterans Home.

Brothers showed their gratitude by serving refreshments throughout the home and spending time playing card games where we donated cash prizes to the winners. We are so grateful for their service and look forward to being back!

To 9 M.O.B: Beyond blessed and honored to have the opportunity to guide you through your journey to Omega. Proud is an understatement and I have high aspirations for each and every one of you. The road was hard but fair, but I thank God that he gave you all the perseverance to see it through. Keep striving to become the best version of yourselves that you can be. Continue to hold each other accountable and remember that friendship is essential to the soul. Maintain the terror and strengthen the foundation that has been built before you. I got you all for life, much love. 💜

Signed,
