[📂 From the archive] Das Heu (2021) Das Heu is a free editorial project challenging the boundaries between editing and design in an experimental way. The content and design of the magazine are influenced by random processes. With the aim of discovering alternative means and methods that allow for their own approach and unbiased perspectives, topics and printing processes are combined in unconventional ways. The idea for the project was born in spring 2021 – in the midst of the Corona pandemic – as a reaction to a lack of inspiration and limited possibilities for collaboration. Despite travel and contact restrictions during this time, the first edition took us to places we had not known before, introduced us to new companions and made us meet old school-friends again, that had been absent for a long while. @das.heu is edited, designed and published by @janahielscher, @lara.liske, @robert.franke_ and @uli_hol. With an additional text contribution by @___kittles___. Typeset in Helvetica, Triptych (@thepytefoundry) and MGD Rotter by @robin_coenen_official and @andrevanrueth (@iamgod.world). The cover typeface is Aachen Old Style by the very talented @isharhawkins. Printed by PrePrintPartners and @atelier_riso on @metapaper. #design #graphicdesign #editorialdesign #editorial #magazine #typography #layout #selectedwork #goodtype #graphicindex #typetopia #designeverywhere #icographica
