THE PANTS WERE PANTING! 😂

Now y’all know I love a good fashion moment, but apparently I found my people at The @joincreativeexchange

I came to moderate a conversation on the art of storytelling and left reminded that sometimes the most fabulous stories are told without saying a single word!

The prints! The silhouettes! The PERSONALITY!

What I loved most? Everybody showing up as themselves, having fun with fashion, and giving us a little glimpse of who they are.

Because personal style isn’t about being the best dressed in the room. It’s about feeling like the best version of YOU!

Now I have a question: Are you a statement-pants person, or is there another piece in your wardrobe that makes you feel FABULOUS? I don’t really wear pants often but pants like these will always call my name!

And if you see yourself in this reel, make some noise! I loved every look! 💙

Today, I had the distinct honour of facilitating“The Orange Economy as National Power” panel at Diplomatic Week 2026, contributing to an important national conversation on the intersection of culture, creativity, commerce and diplomacy.

For someone who has spent the better part of 18 years building a career in the creative industry, this was a particularly meaningful moment.

I’ve witnessed firsthand the extraordinary ingenuity of Bahamian creatives, but I’ve also experienced the barriers, the undervaluation of our work, and the challenges of transforming talent into sustainable enterprise.

And while our experiences may differ across disciplines, many of these challenges are shared by creatives throughout the Caribbean.

One of the greatest opportunities before us is recognizing that our creativity is not simply a cultural asset. It is economic capital.

It was my sincere hope that I represented our creative community well and contributed a perspective that will help advance these conversations beyond the walls of today’s event.

My deepest gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs @mofabahamas and the Ministry of Culture @mocahbahamas , Arts and Heritage, particularly the Hon. Fred Mitchell, the Hon. Leslia Miller-Brice @lesliabrice and His Excellency Barry Griffin @barryngriffin for the confidence placed in me and the opportunity to contribute to such a significant national platform.

I’m also grateful to my fellow panelists, @bodinevictoria , @apryl_burrows , @kache.asha , and @darioerics , for sharing their insights and experiences.

And the conversation continues tomorrow, with the presentation of my specially produced film, “The Bahamas: A Destination for Brands and Content Creators,” exploring the extraordinary creative possibilities of our islands and the Bahamian talent capable of bringing those visions to life.

When @aprylweechthehairstudio did my hair in preparation for @professionalservicesbahamas #40Under40, she asked me, “What’s the thing you’re most proud of achieving?”

God has been kind to me.

Using my voice, He’s allowed me to travel the world speaking, hosting and training, from being a Youth Ambassador to the Commonwealth as a teenager to becoming a sought-after emcee today. I’ve interviewed and introduced world leaders, spent 12 years building my own company, helped organizations communicate and strategize, and used this online space to share stories and create.

I feel incredibly blessed to have carved my own path. But all of that is God’s kindness.

So when Apryl asked the question, none of those things came to mind. To me, they’re the fruits of surrender to God.

What I’m most proud of is the work I’ve done personally in each of those seasons. The becoming that continues.

I love that when a negative thought comes, I can recognize it and remove it. That when I’m tempted to see a flaw in someone else, I first ask, “Where am I showing up like that?” I love that someone can say something negative about me, misjudge my motives or come at me sideways, and I have the grace to let it be.

I’m not where I want to be yet, but of all the things God has given me through my professional journey, self-development has to be No. 1.

Beyond allllll of that, though, what brought the most joy to my spirit, even beyond the award, was that my family and friends showed up for me.

From the friend who nominated me to the friends and cousins who bought tickets and screamed loudly when I walked across that stage, truly, truly, they were the best part of the night.

My Grammy would be so proud to see who her granddaughters grew up to be and the way we support each other.

Forever grateful to have been honored in this way. 🤍

Our little pre-nap reading time 📚💕

Knoah and I spent a few quiet moments reading together, talking about the characters and the different emotions we saw throughout the story.

But my favorite part came afterward when she picked up another book and started looking through it all by herself. 🥹

To me, that’s what #ReadTogetherGrowTogether is all about. We create the experience with them now, hoping to nurture a curiosity and love for books that they’ll eventually carry on their own.

These may be little moments, but they’re building something much bigger. ❤️📖
